Description

Color Splash™ lets you quickly and easily give photos a dramatic look by converting them to black and white, while keeping your chosen details in color.

Use your finger as a brush to "paint" sections of your image black and white, or to bring back the original color. Zooming in and out using the two-finger pinching gesture allows you to work on details with pixel-accuracy.

Features:
- Share your edited images with friends via email or by uploading them to Twitter, Flickr or Dropbox.
- Save multiple sessions to resume your work later.
- Undo any number of accidental brush strokes.
- Adjust brush properties such as brush size, softness and opacity.
- An alternative view mode highlights the regions that will remain in color with a red tint. This makes it easier to see and adjust the boundaries between color and black & white regions.

What’s New

- Fixed an issue where the new iOS 14 photo picker would not work for some users on the 12.9" iPad

Money well spent

Best $2 I have spent in a while. I have been really enjoying editing pictures. Works great with Apple Pencil. Endless coloring book for anyone

Love/Hate

I love how easy this app is to use. It’s kind of a one trick app, it does nothing except make a photo black and white and then lets you brush on the color you already have on the photo. I would expect to get something this for free. I would not buy this app if I could go back and do it again. It needs more functionality. Ability to tone down certain colors or make specific color less. Example of this would be if a image had too much yellow in a specific part of the picture.

Inconsistent Settings, Otherwise Great

If the pencil isn’t touching the screen constantly, the settings change from color to black and white every few seconds. Really great beyond that - pinch to zoom in and out lets you edit minute details, really fun.

Developer Response ,

With the new Apple Pencil you can double tap the pencil to switch tools in the apps you use (including Color Splash). If you find that you trigger this double tap accidentally, you can turn this off (for all apps) by going to the Settings app, selecting "Apple Pencil" on the left and then choosing "Off" under "Double Tap" on the right.
Double tapping with finger or pencil on the screen also switches between Color and Gray tool. (I thought I had added a setting inside the app to turn this off, but apparently not. I might add such a setting in the future.)
