Very robust color app
This app takes a little getting used to, but it went above my expectations.
There are a number of ways to specify your color, such as searching through known color databases from companies like crayola. You can also use a photo, specify a color's hexcode, or create a color with 3 different slider variations.
With a color in hand, you are given the closest color match as a title as well as a host of specifications about how to recreate that color. In the next tab, there are other colors based off the color you chose, ranging from your choice to white and black, complementary colors, and even analogous colors. Every other color has their own hexcode below, so you can easily search for your next color if one catches your eye.
This app goes the extra mile with how your color will appear based on 8 different kinds of color blindness.
If you want an app for color palettes, I think this is the best out there. There's more information provided than I know what to do with, but more information is never a bad thing.
Great app! I wish I could pay to get rid of the ads, and I also wish that the various Prismacolor colors were part of the app. I use Prismacolor pretty exclusively, and an app like this could help me understand palettes more. Perhaps adding the capability to add our own palettes?
Robust color features, missing easy way to save palette
Surprisingly numerous Pantone and other commercial color references. Wish there was a way to pay to get rid of the ads though.
