More than a palette generator

This has long been my favorite color app, so I’m delighted to see it restored to full working order for iOS 11. Viewing your swatches in 3D colorspace tells you so much about how your colors relate to each other—something side by side comparisons on a flat chart cannot do. Those relationships in turn guide you in tweaking the palette deliberately, with much less hit and miss, yet without losing the fluid, intuitive aspects of the process. I also appreciate that palette size is flexible. You’re not locked into the ubiquitous 5-slot format. Export to Evernote is handy, too.

One improvement that would help: either an undo option or a way to lock colors in place on the fly. It’s much too easy to move swatches without realizing it. Fortunately you can save palettes along the way, but that’s only a half measure.

I can’t emphasize enough how much incredible potential this app has as a color tool. I really hope the dev keeps developing this amazing app especially now that digital painting is getting so prevalent on the iPad Pro. This app already can do so much but it just needs a few added elements. Firstly, it needs the ability to export actual color palettes for programs like Procreate. iCloud and Dropbox integration is also important to be able to store the palettes. It would be nice to be able to have up to 30 swatches for Procreate palettes (though not completely necessary). And as of now, the camera function crashes the app on my iPad Pro right now.

Thank you to the dev for doing such a great job already! Please keep developing this app!

Amazing! Must have companion to Photoshop for any designer.

Found ColoRotate searching for Kuler, and it ended up blowing Kuler out of the water. Really solid and beautiful for such a new app. Extremely detailed and well thought-out for a $5 app. A cinch to connect with Photoshop on my desktop. Now I can send an entire palette directly to my swatches, or I can use my iPad as my color selector and select foreground/background color with pretty much ZERO lag. SO sweet. My only gripe (and consider more of a request) is some jaggies in the 3D rendering, strangely terrible resolution on the photos I'm sampling from my gallery, and a few stray icons with low res. All the other UI elements look good, it's just these few random things. Can't wait to see future improvements and updates to this app. I've had it 20 minutes and it's already officially part of my toolkit, no questions asked. I hesitated before ordering because their website was a little fidgety, but this is one of those "thank god I took the chance" kinda moments.
