Pathetic app, even worse customer service


I have used the e-edition for years. I tried this app and found it quite workable-and it included the e-edition for the times I would prefer that format. I used it a few days and then I got a pop up that asked me to sign in to continue using it. What fun I had - several attempts that always resulted in a return message of “incorrect email or password..”. I checked my log in on the website-worked just fine. I emailed customer service and the automated reply said to check my credentials. I emailed again with a request that my email be please read and the actual problem addressed. Again, I was told to check my credentials and try again. I called the help line. I was told that the app doesn’t always work when you try to log in. No solution offered. I laughed because that was the same answer I got when I called to say I was unable to pay for my subscription on line. Shame on the Dispatch for offering on line payments on their paper bills when it does not exist. Shame on the Dispatch for not pulling an inferior app and fixing the problem.

I wish there was a negative scale. One of the worst apps I've used- both the prior version and this one will not recall your login credentials. It's incredibly infuriating when I can login via their web page but not on the app. The Dispatch needs to get serious about keeping their existing, paid, content subscribers. This is the second or third time this has happened. First time I phoned them and while the customer service was fine, it shouldn't have been necessary. I'm tired of paying for something that doesn't work. No excuses- I'm not phoning or emailing when I'm not the problem. Fix it or I'm gone.

Unwieldy, full of bugs


Many stories that we get in print cannot be found using normal search parameters. Just a few days ago, I wasted 1/2 hour trying to track it down. I had previously been told that the E edition doesn’t always carry stories, particularly national ones! Maybe the “E” stands for “error” or “excised” as curiously most of the missing stories are ones the Dispatch would not like to see.
I also have multiple problems logging in, having to use 2 sets, plus change an old password. A pain in the derrière.
