Ok, but dual-pane only?
Run-of-the-mill Finder replacement (just meaning that it hits most of the needed functions), but I prefer Path Finder (which I selected as a "make-do" when Total Finder was scuttled by Apple).
This one is quite useful, and the price is right. However, unless I missed something, it will not display just a single pane. The default seems to be dual-pane only. You can create multiple tabs within each pane. However, I would like to be able to select a single-pane view at times, just for the additional real estate and reduced screen clutter it would provide while file browsing. File browsing is what I do the most, not copying and moving files.
Good start, but...
Good app - only if you need copy or delete a couple of files, but otherwise mostly useless and not even close to “absolute control over your files and folders”. Don’t know why it was recommended as alternative of Total Commander for Mac users on the Total Commander site.
1. Unable to compare directories. Even no simple select differences (Mark->Compare Directories). Compare by content (sync directories) - can’t even dream of.
2. Copy. No option to owerwrite only older files (must overwrite all files over and over again).
3. Move. Can’t rename/move if file with the same name already exists.
4. File compare by content - doesn’t exist.
5. Multi rename tool - doesn’t exist.
I waited these features to appear in the latest releases, but I start to loose hope - I see 2 years old reviews, but almost nothing changed. Maybe Commander One competitors can propose something better...
SImple yet powerfull
I used crax commander before which cost me about 20$ and it was really buggy, this application has all the things I was looking for and it’s free.
