Deleted Exchange account from phone
After my alma mater deleted my email account, I had to remove the Exchange account from my phone. This caused multiple contacts to be erased, and I couldn’t even add names to the ones that I still had a number for from Messages. I have NO IDEA how Apple decides which contact belongs to which group, because many of my contacts should not have been associated with that account.
So I restored the phone to retrieve my contacts (but still needed to delete the Exchange account). This app allowed me to save all of the Exchange contacts to a group where I could send them all in one file to myself via email. After I emailed myself the file, I was able to delete the email account from my phone again. From there, it was as simple as clicking the attachment and restoring my contacts. Thank you, Connect!!! Before finding your app, I was so frustrated!
I got this app about two years ago. My hubby has tons of contacts as do I (our phones link). This app can sort contacts into smaller groups and that functionality alone makes this app fabulous. I take care of my Mom’s Affairs while she is in a nursing facility as she has had health issues for the last year and having a group just for Mom’s care, has been invaluable!
Recently my iPhone updated and this app disappeared - well, I almost fell over in a faint. I looked for another app and found 1 that was a Connect “wanna be”. Two days later the app was back - functioning like it did - they must have had many people like me fainting as well. This app is absolutely top-of-the-line with its organizational abilities without being difficult. This app sets the bar high. Can’t say enough good about it. I give this app 7 stars on a scale of 1-5.
Review of App
This app has worked exceptionally well for me. I love the way I can pull in any contact info from my iPhone to the Connect list without problems. I don’t update my contacts in Connect. I always use my iPhone list. By including myself in the list, I always receive a copy of messages sent out, too.
I’m hoping when I upgrade my phone, I won’t have problems with my list as some have mentioned.
The only reason I gave the app a 4 is because recently many of my contacts listed in the group message are NOT receiving the messages. I’ve tried to remediate the problem thinking the messages were too long perhaps prohibiting some users from receiving. But that isn’t the problem. In the past they received the messages, so I don’t know if it’s an iPhone app upgrade problem or something changed in iPhone system or something in Connect. I plan to continue using the app—at least for now. Also, I’ll do more troubleshooting to see if I can identify the problem.
Overall, the app works very well and is easy to use.
