The Journeyman application streamlines the process of gathering and reporting critical construction project information. It provides a comprehensive set of site management forms and administrative support tools that raise the efficiency and effectiveness of project superintendents, helping to ensure that activities and events are well documented and that your projects stay on schedule.

Too often there is not a process in place to ensure that critical project information from the field is communicated to office personnel in a timely manner. Superintendents who gather the information in the field need an easy and effective way to deliver it to the appropriate personnel in the office. Construction Superintendent streamlines the process of gathering and reporting data from a construction site to the main office.

We have identified a number of forms and reports that capture and deliver field management information that is common to most construction projects:
+ Daily Logs
+ Extra Work / Change Directives
+ Safety Inspections
+ Requests for Information
+ Purchase Orders

With every project you run, you're faced with timelines and due dates to submit your paperwork. When you're running several projects at the same time, those requirements are multiplied. The Construction Superintendent application helps you stay on top of the situation with a number of management assistance tools, including:
+ Time Sheets with Cost Codes
+ Daily Job T&M reports
+ Active Forms Summary worksheet
+ Due and Pending forms worksheet
+ Submitted Forms History worksheet

The Superintendent Journeyman app for iPad provides a single tool to record and submit these key field management forms and reports and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

Ratings and Reviews

Very Nice Start

I do hope this App. will continue to evolve. I'd like to be able to customize a bit more. Also need to be able to print more than one weekly time sheet to a piece of paper. Too much waste there. If I've got 5 guys working on a job for a week I should be able to fit all their time on one page.I had trouble mailing from my iPad. It was taking over an hour for an email report to get from my iPad to my computer. Turned out to be a server problem on my end but I was happy with the Support response from the developer trying to figure out the problem. I still think the cost is high but I'm guessing a focused app like this is not going to have thousands of customers and has to recoup development cost. Fantastic app for documenting in the field with pictures and notations and very easy to get the hang of.

Work in progress

For an app that costs a whopping $300 and claims to be a professional tool for a construction superintendent it lacks key features like a plain calendar allowing you to do some scheduling,it also has no way of adding tasks that one might have on the agenda. It closes by itself very frequently and some features don't work as intended and also close the program. It is a good reporting tool but to call itself a construction superintendent it lacks the complex aspects. Superintendents are not just a secretaries reporting on weather and head count, they are senior field executives who are involved in pushing the jobs to meet the deadlines and budgets and for the app not to have a simple planning tool and tasks is a major oversight.

Developer Response

Please note the date of this review. We have made fixes and updates to the app and have adjusted the price to make it more accessible. Please refer to our website for more detail on the functionality that is and isn't included in the app.

We've gone to great lengths to make it easier for superintendents to create and submit their site management reports and forms quickly and accurately. It's not just typing and filling in blanks on a form.

Excellent App

This is an excellent App for the construction superintendent to record daily reports, which can include photos; RFI allowing us to ask detailing questions with photos, if you have an app for drawings, you mark up the drawing and take photo on your IPad and upload in the photo section of the RFI.
The safety report is a great to use when the company wants a safety report, but does not have form.
This a great stand alone program for the Superintendent.
