ContactsSyncer is your swiss army knife when it comes to dealing with your contacts data.

It imports contacts from :
OS X address book (
MS Outlook

....displays them in a list, shows differences to the data in your or MS Outlook, lets you change the data and finally exports them into either

OS X address book (
MS Outlook
MS Excel (including pictures!)

It will update present contacts (checks for the first and last name) to avoid duplicates in both and MS Outlook.

Ever wanted to import multiple vCards into Outlook? See all of your contacts in a sortable list view? Here you go!

What's New

Version 4.0

This version greatly improves MS Outlook-Support. It will tell you right away if your contact has been found in Outlook (just activate this feature in the settings) and also shows you differing data.
It also does a better job at reading your contacts from (reads "other email", "other phone" and "iPhone"). It now also displays the date the contact was created and last modified in the
A problem with opening vCard files has been fixed.
The memory footprint should be a lot smaller (deals with pictures better).
Improved looks!
Dropped Google plus and vKontakte-Support and russian translation. Google plus didn't work and there was hardly any interest in vKontakte.

Thanks again for all the valuable feedback I've received in the last year. Will keep improving this app. The windows version will also be available on my website very soon so tell your friends...

I tried probably 6-7 apps to convert my Contacts to a csv file. Apple Contacts only exports to Vcards. I used some apps on my phone and iPad and they just didn’t work out. I tried several Mac apps over the years too. Then I tried the free version of ContactsSyncer, and exported a number of groups from Contacts. The free version will let you export up to 50 records. I had a couple of questions, and they were answered very quickly by the developer himself. I was satisfied then to buy the full version, which allows unlimted exporting. The update is only $9.95…a very reasonable price for what it does! I used the Export to Excel option…it worked better for me than direct to csv. I’ll be able to use the Excel file to upload my mailing list into a security email system. But, if you want to, Excel will allow the exporting to a csv file. Very happy with this product. I might only use it once or twice, but think how long it would take to manually transfer 1,200 contacts to a new mailing list!

Great if you know what you want

This app serves its purpose very well; syncing & managing contacts & their fields from multiple sources. If you can’t find a way to achieve your goal within the app, you can simply ask the developer, Max, who is incredibly helpful & concise. As with any other app, the usefullness of the software always comes down to user proficiency (or user error), which also seems to dictate these reviews ;-P

I loved this until I upgraded

Joy's Precious

I had used the free version before and now that I neeed to clean everything up before migrating to my new phone I bought the paid version (more htan 50 contacts). I am sooooo disppointed. I use High Sierra 10.3.1 and now it flat out will not work. It just hangs over and over again. If apps are going to be in the store they need to actually work. if it wored $9.99 would be a bargain but when I get nothing but headaches I should get a refund.

Developer Response

Hi Joy's Precious, sorry to hear you ran into trouble. If you could let me know what exactly didn't work I'd have a chance of helping you (just use the contacts form on or send a mail to support at Btw, getting a refund is not difficult, see:

Hope we will get this figured out!

Best wishes from Berlin, Max
