✩ Conquer the stars!!! ✩
Conztellation is a casual strategy game that you can play against the computer, against the person next to you, or against someone over the Internet. Your goal is to grab more territory than your opponent as you conquer the stars. Simple gameplay leads to complex and interesting strategies. It's as easy as dragging your finger, and as challenging as you decide to make it.
• Single player against 6 different computer skill levels
• Multiplayer over the Internet, or on the same device
• Multiplayer lets you connect to Mac/PC/browser versions
• Tutorial guides you through a game to teach you the basics
• Choose a playing field of 16, 25 or 36 stars
• Choose to start out with 1 to 3 stars owned per side
• Series of 9 preconfigured single player levels
• Replay the events of your previous move
• Post news of your victories to Facebook if you so choose
• Full resolution on all devices, and any orientation on iPad
• Five gorgeous stellar backgrounds
• Three soothing, ambient music pieces
Gameplay Details: You compete by forming networks of blue lines from your own blue stars to other stars. You own a star by having more lines to it than your opponent, or by being the last to connect an equal number. Your ultimate goal, however, is to form blue triangular territories with your blue lines, while your opponent tries to form red territories. The player with the most territorial area at the end wins the match.
Further clarifications: Conztellation isn't strictly a turn-based game, but rather a game of simultaneous motion by you and your opponent. If you reach your target star before your opponent, then you can evaluate the situation (while time is frozen) and move again. When your opponent reaches their target star, you could be on half-way to the next one, and vice versa. It all depends on the distances travelled between the stars.
The more you play Conztellation, the more you'll appreciate the unique and challenging gameplay, and the more you'll enjoy defeating your friends! The low introductory price won't last long so hurry up and grab a copy!
Unique New Strategy Experience On the Go
Not only a unique new gameplay style that strategy fans will enjoy, but also an entertaining experience that can be played quickly while on the go without requiring the long periods of pondering like for other strategy games such as chess or words with friends. It takes a little while to get used to, personally it took me a few games before I became competitive with the AI, but once you get the hang of it then it becomes a very engaging title in a tiny package.
Not only is the single player fun for quick pick-up and play whenever you have some downtime on the go, but if you have friends with the game the multiplayer makes it even more engaging. The option to play with friends is never a bad thing.
Lastly, some other features that make this package a great value for the price include the soundtrack, which is surprisingly good for a small independently made game, a tutorial mode to help people get into the gameplay mechanics, and Facebook connectivity so that you can even play multiplayer with people using the game on Facebook. Clearly a lot of work and effort has gone into this game, and it's a pleasure to support these unique and entertaining ideas from independent developers.
Excellent Game for Puzzle Lovers
Conztellation is a fascinating game concept utilizing almost simplistic moves in a very unique (and sometimes irritating) manner. At first playing the game it felt to easy, but as soon as the AI began to get warmed up, I found it very difficult to stay ahead of it. It became even harder with the introduction of a two star starting level.
The graphics and music selection add even more to the game. The music very much so as it is such a soft background noise that it does not distract like you other games sound tracks do.
I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes a simple puzzle game while sitting in the airport or looking for a good challenge.
Fun, but kind of slow moving
This is a great little strategy game for those who like to play games on the iPad in short increments, like I do, when they've got a little downtime. The only annoyance is that I wish I could get the turns to complete more quickly. It gets a little frustrating watching the red and blue ships crawling along towards their destinations. Otherwise, though, this is a good game, and I like the fact that the devs included an option to play with another person offline rather than churning out yet another lame game that requires you to invite all of your Facebook friends online if you want to play with an actual human being.
