iOS 11, or advertising bugs?

For the past couple weeks, cookie jam had been acting very weird when it comes to how it interacts with the optional advertising inserts. Sometimes when I select, yes I want extra five moves, The advert play is it 30 second bit, then flashes back to Cookie Jam, I tap the +5 moves, and the screen returns to my game ready to play EXCEPT THAT IT’S Grayed out; it’s not live. No matter how much I tap I cannot get cookie jam to continue to play. I have to discontinue the session, and then I’ve lost all the play that I had. That’s one glitch and it’s pretty frequent. Bad enough. And it’s extremely annoying watching an ad, in order to get more gameplay, only to be denied the gameplay when the ad is over.

But then, the flakiness of the advertising itself is really hideous…I watch 30 seconds of a Vegas slots game that it’s counting, and after the 30 seconds, the little X to close it NEVER APPEARS! So, once again I have to just ditch the cookie jam session.

I was rather appreciative of the options that the advertising inserts provided, for the first month or so. Now, the bugs in these new “features“ make it so I’m thinking of ditching the game off my iPad entirely. Which I’m sure is entirely contrary to the purpose of developers adding it…

Love the App...But

This latest review of Cookie Jam, dated August 22, 2018, is lowered because I dislike the new reward system. Now Cookie Jam makers give time on the app instead of boosters. I am not going to consistently play this game 6, 10, or 24 hours. Cookie Jam does offer special pricing for boosters, but that adds up quickly to exorbitant amounts. It is amazing how often a game ends with needing one or two more plays to complete the level when the player has coins and/or purchased boosters. I have played the same level over and over again multiple times when I refuse to make a purchase. If this system doesn’t improve to once again give boosters as prizes, instead of more time, then I plan to delete the game. Just isn’t worth it anymore.

As I read reviews from other players of this game, I realized I faced the same challenges with level 429. I purchased 135 coins so I could use a wooden spoon to clear one spot on the game board...then, poof, I was reverted back to level 1. I complained to iTunes, but my game was never returned to the same level. I am still at the beginning. However, I am rating the game a five because it is fun, and I like receiving the game awards when I play a certain number of times. Additionally, beginning anew has refreshed my memory on how to use the boosters more effectively.

Addictive! <3

I absolutely loooove Cookie Jam! It is so incredibly fun😍; 10~15~18: A follow~up to my previous review from several months ago, I have always loved Cookie Jam from the very moment I downloaded the game app to my phone over (1) year ago, and really loved it when you had the treat calendar, where one was guaranteed to receive coins, when you opened the app on the appropriate day. My biggest complaint the game, at moment, is all the hard sub~levels the game has on each every main level. This absolutely STINKS!!! I am all for a challenge, and it would be fine, if you gave enough moves to successfully pass/master the sub~level, but you do not so. For example, I am currently on level 1284, this sub~level has a total of (98) cookies you have to eliminate, with some being covered in several layers of chocolate, to which ONLY (29) moves are provided to accomplish this daunting task. Without implements (cake bombs, spoons, rolling pins, etc.), this is an impossible feat!! I implore you guys (the developers), to decrease the number of hard/difficult levels, or at the very least, increase the ratio of moves, to achieve the objective......Thanx a bunch, in advance🙂
