Fun but expensive
This game is very fun and would have easily been a five star rating had it not been for the gem system. At first the levels are easy and they require small amounts of gems like 5 or ten, but once you get past the burger joint you have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on gems to keep up. This would have been all fair considering that as you level up you earn gems, but there is no possible way to keep up because they up the ex you must earn to get gems. If you combine that with the fact that you now have to spend 20 gems on one kitchen upgrade then there is no way one can keep up with the levels. I do not begrudge them for wanting to make money, but the amount of gems required to keep playing is beyond ridiculous. If you are going to have that kind of system then you should find a way for others who are not willing to buy gems to at least be able to earn them. They put the casino in the game to show that you can win gems but it is so impossible to win that they might as well remove it from the game. I am not writing this review because I think that every thing should be free but rather because there will always be people who will buy the gems and those who do not. Rather I think that if they want this game to continue to be successful they should have a healthy middle ground.
I understand you guys are trying to make the game difficult so it can be profitable. What I don't understand is why you fix the casino game so that you can only ever win 15 gems and only once every 24 hours. Granted, you can win 600 and 1000 coins multiple times in one day but that honestly doesn't get you anywhere. If it's not meant to be won then don't put it there in the first place. When I spin the wheels in the casino I notice that the order of icons is different than what it ever stops at. You also raised the total amount of xp needed to level up in the game and I think that's unnecessary. I do appreciate that your newest restaurants don't require as many gems to update exterior and interior items. The game will still continue to be my favorite and I will still play it even though the game developers are trying to do everything in their power to turn a profit on all of its users. But that's none of my business.
Fun Game - if you want to spend $$
Yes, this game is a LOT of fun. Addicting, really. You just want to attempt to 3-star everything and upgrade everything. The food and interior upgrades are fun to watch as you progress! However... As you open up further restaurants, and upgrade more, it requires more gems to continue. As other people have stated, you don't earn nearly as many gems leveling up in game as is required to continue to have fun... I have spent probably around $40 and I am a little past lvl 30 at the Pizzeria. I *really* want to play more, but am having a hard time facing the fact that I will probably need to spend around $20 more to continue upgrading, etc. I understand that the company needs to make a profit, but there really should be a bit more of a middle ground that gives players, who don't want to or can't spend $100, a fair way to reach more end-game...
