FRUSTRATINGLY FRUSTRATING

I have never played another ‘free’ game in my life like this one. People are correct. How would you like to play the same repetitive level 40 times to get 5 diamonds to you can upgrade the time of an almond drink dispenser by a few seconds? So you can do it all again, so you can then upgrade the dispenser to prepare 2 drinks at the same time? Does that sound fun to you? If so, you will love, love, love this game. I blame the customers. We get what we pay for, and if we don’t pay to play, well, then what do we expect. Developers need to make money. I just wonder how so many other great games, I am thinking of one where you build a little feudal town and clash against invader (hint), I played this successfully for 3 years without needing gems. Whereas, Cooking Fever? I played for 3 hours on Sunday, and now I need gems to do literally anything. Honestly, I would rather pay $5 to buy this game, and be able to play it without worry for gems. But, I don’t want to be involved in an endless money pit. There used to be a time when we just bought games. I think it was actually a better system.

Great Game

I disagree highly with other reviewers complaining that getting gems is too difficult. Actually, I find it fun that you have to work for them, and I always like to get all three starts on each level before proceeding. Though it takes a little patience, I always get enough gems to continue having fun. You don’t have to upgrade everything, so it’s not like you are forced to upgrade everything and waste your gems on it. However, I must say that the Casino is a bit off balance, as you hardly ever hit a gem result and only sometimes get coin results. It also pulls you in and makes you waste all of your money. I don’t find myself at the Casino often, even when I’m in desperate need of gems. Good game, though. Not many glitches, either.

Great game but only for a short period

It’s extremely fun but once you complete the first restaurant and move to the second one it becomes a stalemate. It’s nearly impossible to accumulate necessary jewels to make further upgrades to your restaurant. The Casino rarely awards jewels, I played quite a few times and only won 4 jewels (over 100k of coins). The only way to get jewels is if you pay for them. If you don’t want to pay any money for this game, you will enjoy it for about a month before you’re unable to move forward without spending $. This may the goal of the developer but I think users should be able to continue upgrades without paying $ or waiting for the few diamonds you get every now and then. I really liked this game, it was fun, but it’s not something that you can play for a while.
