Customer Reviews

Great and fun game, but expensive :(:(

Edit: While I appreciate the developers actually taking the time, to read and reply to reviews, it would be so much more gratifying were they to listen to the pleas of those playing the game and then actually rectify the issue. There are not enough gem earning opportunities, the gems rewarded are paltry on those opportunities that do exist, the gem requirements for upgrades are excessive, and the gems for sale are way overpriced. An easily rectified situation, and as it is a repeated theme in the vast majority of these posted reviews, one that NEEDS to be rectified. Due to the absolute frustration of this situation, I have had to quit playing. I suggest to all of a like mind a game I found mentioned in another review: Cooking Craze.

This game is amazing! At least, the gameplay is. I love the PS4 game "overcooked" and this is a wonderful iPad alternative. However, you MUST have gems to achieve three stars or buy new restaurants, which is necessary to game advancement. Nordcurrent has a ridiculously high gem requirement for these mandates and their gem packages are pitiful! - 10 gems for $1, which isn't even enough for one upgrade once you get to the third restaurant. There is only a minimum opportunity to earn free gems. If it wasn't for the complete overdo on their part, this game would be 5 stars easy. I am only on my second day playing and already I am stalled due to lack of gems.

I love it but...

Okay the game itself is very fun to play, I play it everyday. The graphics are nice and it isn't slow or anything like that, but the one major thing that bothers me about this game is the gems. Everything costs gems whether it is the upgrades in the restaurant, or to even open a new one. This gets very frustrating because they're a little opportunities to gain Gems ,yet everything cost a lot of gems. For example, I needed gems to open the ice cream palace on Paradise Island and I decided to use the casino because (no surprise here) I didn't have enough gems. So I went to the casino expecting to spend maybe 5000 coins until I got some gems. I ended up spending $75,000 coins and guess what? No gems were won. I ended up making back 1,200 coins and I am not happy about this situation. You need to either lower the gem price or you need to give a lot more opportunities to earn gems.

Edit: I have also found a problem in many of the restaurants, the button to add more of cupcakes or the food that cost diamonds to make is placed very inconveniently. I was trying to add more hamburger buns and it took away two of my gems. I have already finished all of those levels with three stars, and I was saving my gems for a new restaurant so as of right now, I'm fuming mad.

WTH the need for GEMS is ridiculous

The game developers need to rectify this situation with gems. Let me explain...I've been playing his game for about a year and I do love the gameplay but you're forced to replay old levels a BUNCH of times or purchase gems in order to open up new restaurants or upgrade your restaurant enough to go on to new levels. It makes a really fun game become nearly unplayable. Even with daily rewards and leveling up, the need for gems in this game is unbalanced and makes the game SO frustrating after a while. I've even spent 500,000 on the casino in hopes to win gems but the casino's chances are worse than a real slot machine in Las Vegas. Seriously. After playing for a year I've never even won for than the lowest gem prize. Has anyone actually won the bigger prizes? I doubt it. I actually would rather pay for the game $10 or so in the AppStore upfront than go through periods of boring logins just to be able to continue playing new levels. Game developers if you see this please do something about the gem situation, id like to keep playing but I can't afford to spend any more money on gems or play hours on end of the same levels without quicker progress
