Connectivity issues with the iPad Pro (USB-C port) and iOS 12.2 are resolved. Make certain to update LaCie DJI Copilot's firmware with a compatible iOS device before connecting your iPad Pro. Also, offloads from SD cards and USB storage are faster with incremental copy. After the first full copy, only new files are copied. This release also includes bug fixes and UI improvements.

Almost there...

First...this is as far as I know STILL the only external storage that works with the USB-C iPad Pro connector. It required a firmware update from a lightning iPad and power cycle first, but it works. I can plug my transcend Jump Drive Go 500 into the USB connector and access the files on it...but only from the app.

Trying to access the same files directly from the iOS files app integration reports that I am offline [I am] and that it cannot access the files/folders. WHY?!? If I wanted to be online to access files I would have stuck with the Raspberry Pi file server I setup [powered by the iPad and connected via wifi]. I was specifically looking for a wired connection for transferring multi-gig audio and video files from my Zooms and GoPros for editing. So is doable and I appreciate that it is...but it is still requiring extra/unnecessary steps. Not sure if this is an Apple or DJI limitation/issue but its super annoying.

Works great

So i bought this product around September it worked great was able to connect to my iPhone and iPad then the device wouldn’t connect and i tried to google the problem and even emailed tech support, they were not helpful at all seems they didn’t understand my problem. It connected before but now it wasn’t connecting and it was showing me it was charging when it wasn’t plugged, to fix it i used a small paper clip to press the reset button next to the USB slot and it fixed the issue I’m able to connect to the it again and it didn’t restart my hard drive so no worries hope i can help someone cause i know for sure tech support is not gonna help at all.

Doesn’t Work With iPad Pro

LaCie says their drive and app works with iPad Pro but not if you are using the latest iOS version 12.2. This makes the DJI Copilot drive useless to me. Apparently it used to work but if their developers can’t make it work 4 months after an update then they are probably not that committed to the product. I’ve bought tons of LaCie drives over the years but made a big mistake with this one. Save your money.
