Note: This app requires the Corsair Voyager Air drive. Voyager Air is Mobile Wireless Storage with Ethernet. It is necessary to update Voyager Air drive firmware to 1.2.7 or above in order to enable the following features:
- AirPlay support
- Media library to work with DLNA-compatible clients
- Bug fixes
Voyager Air is an all-in-one network drive (NAS), portable wireless drive, USB drive, and wireless hub. It lets you consolidate all your digital media, and enjoy it anytime and anywhere.
Voyager Air was designed to be useful at home – an environment where other wireless drives often fall short. With a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet port, the Voyager Air plugs into your home router, and works as shared network storage for all your desktop and notebook computers. With Voyager Air on your home network it’s easy to consolidate and share digital media.
Voyager Air was also designed for mobility. The drive has a high-capacity rechargeable battery and built-in Wi-Fi, so it’s easy to take with you anywhere you go. Just connect to it from your tablet or smartphone as you would connect to a wireless network, and then use the free Voyager Air app to access the drive. The battery provides up to seven hours of video streaming, and it’s easy to recharge via AC, USB, or the included 2A car adapter.
As multi-user drive, Voyager Air is capable of streaming different HD [720p] video to up to five devices at the same time. And if you’re in an area with public Wi-Fi, like a coffee shop or hotel, you can configure it using Wi-Fi Passthru to act as a wireless hub, providing Internet access to all your devices.
Connect it directly to a PC or Mac with the included USB cable and it works just like any other portable hard drive. It works with Windows by default, and can be easily reformatted to Mac compatible file systems.
What's New in Version 1.2.12
- Support 3 new languages localization: Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese;
- Fix the issue that temporary space is not cleaned up when uploading photo/video from camera roll;
Good but not Great
The app is great. Has the basics. You have folders you go through find what you want (ie music > artist > album > song > play). One really bad thing about it is that once a song is playing you cannot go back and browse through for other songs. You have to stop the song then go browse. Please fix this!!!!! Second thing missing is a search area. I have 80 GB of music. It gets annoying having to scroll all the way to find a artist. Search would be perfect! Please make it feel like our music on iPhones where you have options to go through artists or albums and even the little a-z on the side you can just click to jump to that letter artist. It's a good start but needs some more work.
App Needs Work
The device works fine.
The app needs work:
1. The wifi connection asks for a password every time it connects.
2. When disconnected the app tries to connect every time it is opened. So if you copy files to your iPad (which you must do with large files) before opening them in another app (such as iAnnotate) you have to wait for the attempted connection to timeout before proceeding with each file.
OK but needs work
Loaded up my videos to the drive and setup was fine but no sound. Unbelievable that mp4 and m4v files have great video but no sound.
