I see what you're doing, people
This is a fashion game, and as such, I expect some sizeist, uninclusive models and narrow-minded definitions of beauty. When the creators made a big deal of adding all sizes and ethnicities to the app, I applauded this as progress, even though I figured the update came from external pressures rather than any internal cultural change. Basically, that's been confirmed over the last month or so, and clinched with the most current update. The plus-size models, which were thrown at us in every other challenge right after the 'inclusive' update, have all but disappeared. No daily challenge has any variation of size: the new standard is the giraffe model, who is probably 6'5" in proportion. A few challenges might have the petite or curvy model, but the models of size have mysteriously vanished. I get that the game hinges on wish-fulfillment, and that a huge part of that is dressing perfect-looking models (all sizes are unrealistically beautiful, and that's ok), but the creators would be better off owning that rather than putting on a facade of inclusion. Frankly, it's pretty insulting to be offered something like diverse representations only to have it slowly taken away because they think we are too stupid to notice. I noticed. Bring it back, or just own the fact that Covet is a sizeist, uninclusive community that promotes narrow, Caucasian-centric beauty standards. Yeah, that makes the creators a-holes, but at least they're honest about it.
Horrible customer service
Covet has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! They blatantly ignored my tickets I sent in because I was cheated out of two prizes. I like the game but am beginning to get fed up. I will never spend another dime of my money on this game until they learn to be respectful to ALL of their players.
I really like it just wish I could get more cash! I don't know how some people buy some of these expensive clothes or do some of the challenges that require so many things that I don't have so I spend more than I get! But I still really like it!
