The way we see it at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store,® being part restaurant and part store often adds up to one enjoyable visit. On one hand, our restaurant offers hearty homestyle meals. Plus, breakfast all day, every day. And on the other, we’re an old country store filled with unique gifts and items you may need for your trip. Together, we like to think they make a welcome stop for anyone traveling around the corner or across the country.
Now, with this official Cracker Barrel Locator iPhone Application, you can find the nearest Cracker Barrel when you’re traveling.
· Find a Cracker Barrel using your "Current Location"
· Find a Cracker Barrel by Zip Code or City & State
· Get Maps and Driving Directions to any Location
Open Sunday -Thursday 6 a.m.-10 p.m.;

A solid 80% app.
The app works as designed but like so many...direction of travel is not taken into consideration when the app pings the GPS chip. Direction of travel may be of no significance when you are stationary or in small town USA. However it takes on a whole new meaning when you are traveling on an interstate with family and trailer in tow.
I realize the app offers location mapping after you select a particular store however the closest store or in most cases....stores...are often NOT in the direction of travel. Turning around and driving in the opposite direction is likely not something most people are willing to do. Especially since the next C. Barrel is likley to be minutes down the road.
I realize my comment is 'nit picking' but when you consider Cracker Barrel's success is due in large part to their locations relative to major interstates as well as their consistancy in both facility and menu...Knowing where to stop along the way would seem to be part of the travel's equation!!
Free paper map is better for now
As others have said, this is redundant with google maps and doesn't take direction of travel into consideration or locate stores along a route. I looked for this app after picking up one of their complimentary roadway maps today, which besides showing store locations, suggests scenic trips along old American highways and has trivia and car trip game ideas. AND it's cute. Maybe one day the app will be at least as effective and interesting as that map. I suppose it'd be too much, but if it could help me plan a route based on POI and not time, it'd be especially good. I know there's a lot in this country to see. I just don't know where or what most of it is.
This is ok if you know the area that you're in otherwise it's almost useless. The app crashed several times when I pressed the locate button. After 3rd or 4th attempt it brought up a list of stores and addresses but none seemed overly nearby. It didn't provide a map so I could see where the stores were in reference to my location. (I was in an area I was unfamiliar with ... hence the desire for such an app.) Since that function wasn't available I used the regular map app, punched in "Cracker Barrel", and got 3 pinned locations to choose from. Headed to the nearest now ... but not because of this app :-/
