Good but not quite perfect. Controls need updating
This is a good kart racer but it still needs some work. The levels are just fine they give me challenge to get through and are pleasent to the eye. I liked the boost right after a jump if timed properly. But the controls need work. The tilt controls work just as expected, as good as any others games tilt controls. It's the touch screen controls however that gave me some trouble. They feel awkward to use and don't have as much accuracy as I was expecting. Personally for kart racers I use the tilt controls when I just want a good time and the touch screen when I want absolute control to ensure a win. An example of such controls in my opion would be Shrek kart. Crash is the superior game but I think a thing or two could be learned from the shrek kart racer. Another thing i wish could be changed is that the game could be a bit more forgiving in regard to mistakes. I find myself not being able to make a turn properly and end up in a wall. It takes me a little less then 10 seconds to get back on track which is absolutely devastating in a kart racer. Overall Crash bandicoot is a good game with difficult level designs so it's a shame that such a great game doesn't have the best controls possible. I would really like to see some changes in an update because this is a game I want to enjoy to the fullest.
This is a great game. I am a long-time fan of the Crash Racing series, and have been since The original Crash Team Racing. CTR is my favorite, hands down. I was disappointed when so many sequels failed to successfully succeed the original. Until now. Of the Crash racing games, this game comes closest to recreating what made CTR so great. For hardcore fans of the original, this is the kart racer for you! I would like to see an update with more racers: N. Tropy and Nitrous Oxide, please! The mission mode in this game comes close to recreating the feel of the original relic races/CTR challenges in Crash Team Racing, forcing the player to fulfill a certain task such as collecting crystals or squashing rats while still coming in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place! Still, some more missions would be nice. The music is good, but good be a little goofier in keeping with the Crash Spirit. Overall, this is a great kart racer, well worth the price for fans of the original Crash Team Racing or Crash Nitro Kart games.
Really fun game and at times reminds me a lot of CTR. The only down side being the character roster. Though it's okay I was really hoping for more characters like Dingodile and N.Trophy. With some additional characters this game would be way better. The other thing that I personally find annoying is getting stuck in places that really are just such a hassle to get out of. I don't remember the exact name of the stage, but I believe it's the haunted one. There's a door that really isn't such a problem once you get use to it, but is quite annoying when beginning. This game is good though and was worth the money for me personally. It also has great replay value. I really hope for additional character's in the future though.
