The game is great, but add some detail
I downloaded this app when I kept seeing my sister and her friend play it. It looked interesting, so I tried it out. I go on this app a lot now. I like that you travel with different characters and you get 20 coins for watching videos. I see other games where you only get 5 coins, or even worse, 1. This app is better than others. However, there are 2 main flaws I notice. First, the detail isn't good. I understand that the game is made out of pixels (I really enjoy that actually), but they should add detail. For example, why have a night time course when the cars don't have headlights? Add the headlights, because I know it is possible. Second, it takes up a lot of storage. I can tell because my main apps used are Pictures, and Music. The third app is Crossy Road with lots of gigs. I am almost running out of storage. Not that it's that big of a deal, but maybe make an option to delete some information or characters and reduce the storage amount as a result. That's all I really have to say about that. Overall though, the app is good. I recommend it! :)
GREAT GAME but could use additions
I have been a fan of this game for a long time and got every character and just started over. The only thing is that it has gotten kinda stale, what I mean by that is just that it needs more stuff other than more characters. It is always great when they add more but it would be better if they added something else, like different game modes! Piano Tiles executed that perfectly by having like 20 game modes, and I feel this game could do that even better. I have some ideas that I would like to share about game modes for this that could be multiplayer too!
~ Only Water mode
~ Only Streets mode
~ Reverse mode (Instead of going bottom to top, you go top to bottom)
~ Race mode (The Player races against an A.I. {Or different player in multiplayer} to get to a certain point)
~ Fog mode (Can only see a few spaces in front and beside you)
~ Treasure Hunt (No streets, water, or anything that can kill you just fields of trees and bushes. The point of the game is to collect as many coins as possible in a certain time limit {can be multiplayer})
~ Vertical mode (Instead of going bottom to top, you go left to right or vise versa)
I think that's enough rambling for now, you get the point. And I can't emphasize enough that if do like the game a lot, it just needs some more to spice it up a little bit. Hopefully some of these can be added or different ones that other people have thought of.
Missed on Potential | Possible Improvements
Great game. However, it really missed on potential. There are no different modes, no stats, limited range of play, limited achievements, etc.. Well developed but misses in those areas.
Potential Modes:
- Time trial, how far can you get in X or Y seconds.
• Reverse: Start from top right and work down rather than bottom left and working up.
Potential stats:
- Averages, similar to Doodle Jump. Avg hops per game, avg distance, avg time per game, etc. Graphs would be a bonus.
• Games lost from particular things: From missing a log, from hitting a truck, from getting hit by one (same goes for any vehicle).
- Income, how much you're earning and at what rate.
Potential range of play:
- Buy a higher frequency of 'quests', X amount of coins would yield a shorter time between quests.
• Use coins to buy things or changes to play such as power ups): As far as things go, little hats or attire for the user's character/animal. Power ups could be a helicopter that takes you over a busy street (one time use) or a boat that takes you across a stream. Many possibilities in this department.
- Money variables, be able to purchase an hourly income to turn Crossy Road into a hybrid between an active-play game and a passive-play game. Interesting!
If any of these things could be implemented then Crossy Road could easily be worth four or five stars, the only kicker being that it is clear the developers could have taken it further.
