Description
The ISY is a great controller for INSTEON devices, but there isn't a great way to control the ISY. ctrlHome doesn't attempt to be the center of your home automation system. It doesn't integrate with other controllers and is designed to supplement your existing system.
ctrlHome started as a personal project after getting frustrated with the price and quality of apps for the ISY. My goal is to solve my need and share my solution.

Simple, intuitive , exactly what is needed
Great work Kevin. I have had an ISY for a couple years adding to it overtime. Have been frustrated by all the control apps that are either way too complex, junk or way too much $$ for what you get, and I have tried out a ton of them, like you I had recently started thinking about building my own...until I came across yours. Nice work, simple , initiative and just what I needed. One suggestion that should not be too difficult to add , grouping of scenes and devices. Allowing a nested menu system where some devices and or scenes are on the home screen while others are hidden away in folders/groups.

Simple and has today screen features and a nice dashboard.
If you port forward your router for access over the Internet it also works.
Only change I would make is background updates and update automatically on start up instead of having to hit the refresh button. However it is fast and the button is right there it is not a big deal.
Just what I was looking for
Easy setup for basic use wiht my isy 944i. Only took me about 3 minutes to have access to all my lights (100+ insteon devices). It is a simple interface that imported all my device labels from the isy. I've just started playing with the program, so I haven't tested all the features yet, but it has already met and surpassed my expectations for a free app.
