Cursed Fates: The Headless Horseman reviewed by Lynxminx
This game was good, but not great. The story itself was easy to follow. However, it wasn't long enough, even with a bonus chapter. The graphics were good, but the zoom feature wasn't magnified enough, and the HO scenes were boring! Either you had a list or a picture of the object. The inventory wasn't well-labeled; some people might think it wasn't labeled at all, but you could see the name of the object if you double-tapped it. I don't enjoy combining objects all that much once in inventory!
The game had a strategy guide, a hint system and a journal, but the journal was quite useless! There was no map, much less a teleport map with marked objectives! There were puzzles and mini-games,but not enough of them! Last but not least, THERE WERE RATS, in HO scenes and throughout other scenes!
At least I didn't take off more than 1 star! BigFish, can we please have another, beautiful 5 star game, especially with a teleport map, lots of great puzzles, and NO rats?
See, Snooper and Bunkie, I played the entire game, even though there were rats! I am not a total coward. Still won't play Dark Piper, EVER!!!
I consider myself an "adventure" game novice. Although I love HO games, the ones involving a storyline seemed to go over my head because the clues were too obscure. This one was completely different! Rather than getting frustrated, I found myself engaged and able to figure out most things without a hint - not sure if this means the game is too easy for most people or that I'm getting more intuitive as a result of playing ;-)
The graphics are great - not too dark like some other ones where you can't find objects because the scene is so darn murky. I found myself addicted in a good way, spending more time on this game, exercising "the little gray cells," than wanting to catch up on my Netflix cue. I'm really looking forward to what this game's developer (Russian team, by the sounds of the their names?) has coming next!

🎃🎃 In the role of Constable Crane, I'm dispatched to the quaint village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of mysterious murders. The premise on this timeless tale seems to mirror "Sleepy Hollow", the movie starring Johnny Depp, which I enjoyed tremendously.
There are several things, all positive, to weigh in on thus far: the artwork is beautiful and well-detailed, character voices and dialogue are in fine form, and the music is beautiful: haunting and compelling.
Love the additional tasks of collecting Golden Horseshoes in order to purchase Trophies and earning achievements along the way. Be on the lookout for these, as they crop up in virtually every scene.
A bit of a change-up on some of the HOS creates a welcome variation on the usual HOS. Such fun with this feature, along with keeping a watchful eye for the additional goodies to collect. Keeps you on your toes! 👀👀👟👟👓👓👓
I tried before buying this one but quickly decided to unlock and am glad I did.
Will return with my Stardate Update as I move further along in the journey.
Kudos to game developers and BFG - this one seems to be a five star winner! 🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆
