Ratings and Reviews
I'm struggling with my thoughts on this because I like the concept, but there are pieces missing that make it hard to justify the $0.99. The content is spot on, but the presentation, or the look of things, needs some TLC. That being said, I think it is a great app with great potential and it has a variety of skill sets built into it for learning. The app allows for counting, vocabulary building, following directions, and more. I think, with a few minor changes, this would be a great app for young users! I think with the help of the "read to me" option and maybe aligning everything together in the app rather than separating it, would be helpful. I'm thinking that each monster can be put back together through the jigsaw puzzle feature within each page of learning.
Such a sweet and wonderful game for preschoolers. You can choose to either self explore or have guided play for learning about the numbers 1-10. The material is presented in a one to one correspondence in learning to count, which is so important as it gives the child kinetic and proprioceptive feedback (input to the muscles and joints), as to what numbers feel like - numbers are after all are about rhythm and coordination, and teach us about space. There are also jigsaw puzzles in this game. I do wish for future updates that the pieces to the puzzles would be a little easier to snap to the grid. I definitely would recommend this app.
Fun, Educational, and Such CUTE Little Monsters!
As someone with two young godchildren, I am always looking for fun, educational, and affordable little games to load on my iPad for those rainy days or just for a special surprise. The graphics are great (no scary monsters here) and the puzzles are 3-6 pieces, which means even very young learners can succeed on it and begin to ENJOY learning from a very young age.
The developers have really kept their target audience in mind- there are many prompts in the app to help little learners to complete the task on the screen.
Overall, highly satisfied with my purchase, and strongly recommend it for your own little ones!
