Needs some tweaks, but is good
I just got this and it is a good workout. But I can see it getting boring quickly. For the price it was worth it.
There needs to bee a few tweaks though. Between exercises there should be an audible alert. When working out you are not watching the screen to count down the time or read the ready, set and go. I found myself continuing one exercise into the next and having to try and figure out what new movement to start while the timer was already going.
When the workout is complete the app needs to release the processor. I found that if I don't click on the home button the CPU is continually being used and the screen will not turn off.
This really is a great app, especially for the money. It really motivates you to work out because it's all right there. It's quick, doesn't require special equipment, and best of all, it works! It's really nice having the personal trainer video right there, it encourages you to do the exercise properly, instead of just rushing through it like I usually do. I agree with another reviewer who said it'd be nice to be able to change the duration of each individual exercise and it would be cool to be able to make our own routines but overall, this is a great app.
Simple, quick, and it works!
Quite simply, this app helps you get the job done with no gimics. I normally do serious workouts 4-5 days a week, but I do other calesthentics at home on the daily. This app solves the part of the challenge in doing ab exercises.
My use of this app goes something like this: Five or 6 days a week, I go to my den and lie down with my Mac next to me and this app opened. Press Start Complete Workout. Follow the order of exercises until fully completed. Done! Five minutes. Could not be any more simple. If you're looking for a way to work on your stomach in the comfort of your home in only minutes a day, this app will satisfy that need.
Adding use a pause feature would make this app even better. Allow a couple extra seconds inbetween exercises wouldn't be bad either.
Still, this gets 5 starts for keeping it short and sweet without any hassle.
