Never be late for work again!
The average working American commutes 46 minutes to work each day. With variable traffic patterns that depend on a variety of conditions, the daily commute time can be difficult to predict. Every day can be an anxiety provoking guessing game. "Man, I forgot about that road work they're doing on the interstate! I should have left earlier!"
Finally, there's an app that makes the prediction for you. An app that gets smarter the more you use it. An app that gives you a forecast for your daily commute.
Daily Commute compiles your commute data over time and uses the power of this data to predict your commute time each morning. Because many of the largest factors impacting commute time are seasonal, Daily Commute uses average values on a week to week and year to year basis to give you the most accurate forecast available. The more you use it, the smarter it gets!
Assign a target arrival time and get a target "leave time" based on your data
Reviewable commute data in table and graphic read out
Ability to enter notes for specific commutes
Full Screen count down timer for target leave time
Enter multiple commutes for those with variable destinations (available in pro version)
Note: "Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life."

Good App, Has Promise, Needs Update
This seems like a really good app. I’ve been looking for an app to track my commutes to and from work. I stumbled across this one and decided to give the free version a try. I was hesitant to buy the Pro version until I’d given it a fair try. After using it for a couple of days and reading through the history of it, it’s hard to put down the $1 for the Pro version when it hasn’t been updated in 1 1/2 years and it still supporting iOS 6 when we are currently on iOS 8. It also needs to be updated to support the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus screens. If the development team is not going to update the App to be supported by current phones and iOS versions, then please make the whole app free. I believe I would pay the $1 if the app was updated for current devices.
The stats screen is really cool. It provides a lot of information about history and trends and the app seems really easy to use.
I like the idea, the purpose, and the funcitonality, but the software needs a little refinement. It takes too many taps/buttons to do what you want, and the software runs a little slow. My main complaint, is that I have to go into the setting screen to change my destination. Well guess what, I commute both to...and from...work everyday. So every time I open up the app, I have to go into the settings screen to tell it I'm going to the other destination in my normal commute. You should be able to select the destination from the main screen. Also, why do I need to confir that I am leaving, once I've already pressed the button saying I'm leaving? Again, good idea, but theinterface remains a little bulky. I hope they get it right in the next round.
I have a few different routes I can take to work, and I was also curious about how time of day affected how long I sat in traffic. I had been tracking this information with pen and paper (I know, how delightfully retro!), but started using this app to make it easier.
It's not perfect, but does the job well. The interface is easy to use. Give it a shot!
