Lumen Trails is an omni tracker. It lets you take notes, make lists and keep track of other things in your life, such as time, workouts, expenses, calories, food, weight, sleep or anything else you can think of. Thousands of people use it every day, and they love it because it truly makes a difference in their lives.
“I've been using Lumen Trails for 6 months and continue to love it. One of my most sticky and useful apps ever on my phone.” – David D'Souza
The beauty of Lumen Trails is that you can track absolutely anything. There are tons of other apps that allow you to track one or two things, for example, calories and weight. But what if you decide to track something else? Say, how many cigarettes you smoke as you try to quit, your eating habits or even net worth? Lumen Trails is the app for that!
Instead of having one app for your to-do lists, one for tracking expenses, another one for tracking your weight, you can declutter your home screen and just have one app that does it all.
Designed exclusively for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Lumen Trails is incredibly powerful, easy to use, and looks beautiful on the Retina HD Display. It can even backup your data automatically to Google Drive, sync with iCloud, and is fully accessible with Apple VoiceOver in 8 languages. There's nothing that comes even close to it. And to top it all, your data is not locked on your iPhone. You can export it to Excel or Google Docs!
So what's truly important to you right now? Your Health? Fitness? Finances? Productivity?
Track it and get things done!
:: Note to iPhone 6 & 6 Plus users
Now you can ask Siri to find information for you and dictate right into Lumen Trails. For example, hold down the Home button and ask Siri: “How many calories are in a chicken sandwich?”. To start dictation, tap the microphone button on your keyboard and just start talking - your words will be turned into text.

What's New in Version 8.7
Now you can record voice notes when the app is silently running in the background, even when your phone is locked. We've also made it easier to attach photos or map locations, and added more reminder recurrence options, thanks to your feedback.
Free features limited, expensive to unlock
Granted, this app has a lot of usefulness and quite a lot of features. In some respects, it can even place several other apps. But you can't track much with the free (really should be called trial) version and $20 is too much to ask for the app. Clearly the developer put a lot of time into this app over the last five years but that doesn't mean he should now charge so much. By that reasoning, everything that gets updated would continue to increase in price - and the Ford Escort would now cost $100,000.
It won't really replace a true calorie counter with built-in food database. Nor will it really replace fitness apps that use or link to the iPhone health features or a wrist tracker. All it does is log time if you click start and stop, not miles. And it doesn't pull data from other apps or play well with other productivity apps such as Evernote.
The app does have a lot of flexibility, though, and it does create nice graphs for tracked items.
Why the name change?
I love this app. I use it for so many different things. For example: I keep a list of my daily medications and what time I'm supposed to take them - not trivial for someone with Multiple Sclerosis. I check them off throughout the day so I don't forget any of them. I also add when I take pain meds so I don't take too many. I also track the dates and number of hours that I volunteer at my kids' school, their school schedule, etc.
So, Daily Tracker seems an appropriate name for this app. Why did the name change to Lumen Trails? That tells me nothing about what the app does. Just wondering...
This is the first app I open in the morning and the last app I look at before going to sleep. I use it all day, every day. The more time I spend with it, the more powerful it becomes.
You can customize your own category folders, and within those folders track every aspect of a category. For example, a health category may contain calories consumed, daily bodyweight, how many cups of coffee you had, how much sleep you had, whether you went to the gym or not, what your mood was every day. Over time, you can look at side-by-side graphs and see the cause-and-effect of your habits. You can track literally any aspect of your life.
Photo journal, doctors appointments with reminders, grocery lists, income and expenses, how much time I spent walking my dogs, whether or not I flossed my teeth, medication reminders, how many times I got laid this month.
I'm addicted to this thing. It continues to make more sense of my life and has freed up some bandwidth in my brain. Love it, love it, love it.
