Dark Heritage: Guardians of Hope reviewed by LynxMinx

This game was OK, but not up to your usual standards. There was NO MAP, much less a teleporting one marked with objectives that we have all grown to love. Some of the puzzles were fun, like the decoding ones, but others were the same old boring, recycled ones (ie. turn on all the lights). The graphics were good, but very dreary; I love beautiful games, with bright colors, like Empress! There was a journal and strategy guide and a hint system that showed you where you needed to do something, but not how to do it, which is fine. At least the inventory was LABELED, which is also an essential element of a good game! The game could have been longer, but at least there was a bonus chapter. I took one star off because it was a bit glitchy when using inventory objects, but I had just updated to iOS 7.0. I took another off for no map and the fact that there were RODENTS! Please can we have some more gorgeous games? You know what would be nice? A sequel to Dragon Wheel! I totally forgot about that game and it had some magnificent elements too!

Just ok

I really really wanted to like this game, but just found it toooooo slow. I did like the mix of real people w graphics, but the voice overs were all apparently done by the same person, who had a very gravelly voice and just yelled. I gave it 3 stars bc it had no MAP! I love being able to go from one place to another via map. Also a map shows what areas are finished and what still has things left to do. Graphics were excellent , but I agree w lynxmynx. Get rid of the rodents and the bugs(especially roaches !).
W/o a map I found myself wandering from one spot to another, and resorted to the guide quite a few times, and I generally try to do it on my own. Just Ok story. Ok game. Definitely not on a par w a game like 1000 doors

Good game!

Items were labeled well, movement between scenes was fast and the double tap was great to keep you from going without wanting to. Nice mix of anime and real life. HO s were creative and just difficult enough without being boring (I'm more into the adventure). Lots of stunning graphic scenes. Only skipped one puzzle, the gate, because it was too hard to tell how it fit together pictorially. Enjoyable!
