"The game is both simple fun and a unique blend of wonderful. It reminds me of the good old days when creativity reigned over marketing ploys and safe choices"

The world of Darwinia is a virtual theme park, running inside a computer network built by a computer genius named Dr Sepulveda. Darwinia is populated by a sentient evolving life form called the Darwinians. They are the product of a decades worth of research into genetic algorithms.
Unfortunately, the systems of Darwinia have been overrun by an evil red Viral Infection. This Virus has multiplied out of control and must be stopped. Your task is to destroy the Viral Infection and save the Darwinians from extinction.
Darwinia, an explosive real-time strategy with a twist, will remind you of the intensity of yesteryears games, and leave you yearning for more retro blasting action.
What's New in Version 1.4.3
I think Dawrinia has a good storyboard. That guy that was saying he did not know where the pictures came from confirmed to me that he did not get pass the first level let alone the full game. It is not difficult to kill the visuses when controlled by player and it is easier when you use your upgrades. Darwinians are far from useless as they can be upgraded to have weapons, operate battle cannons and also various buildings. There AI system does what is needed such as tell you your list of primary and secondary objectives. I have had no problems with the controls as it is just clicking and made even simpler with keyboard shortcuts. The souls are used for well… you must play the game to find out. Im not one for spoiling.
With a name like Darwinia, I was expecting some kind of AI system. Instead, you just move units around to complete tasks, and the virus is easy to eradicate provided your limited weapons don't randomly not hit them, which is often. The darwinians are also very useless, as they just stand there. The story is also kind of boring, and not realistic (souls? really? and I should care that they die?)
There is also very little help to get you started, and you sort of have to figure out the controls on your own (which aren't very good). The gameplay graphics are also crap, and I don't understand where these screenshots came from.
