Database for iPad
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Database for iPad is the mobile personal database for everyone. With this powerful tool, anybody can create custom databases without writing a single line of code. For example, a database can consist of various bits of info which are, in some way, related to each other. You might have a database representing employees and another representing tasks. Now you can easily assign or match tasks to employees.
Do you want to share data with your friends or co-workers? It's never been easier! You can synchronize your database with Google Docs spreadsheets, or you can establish a private peer-to-peer network with other mobile devices and share data among them.
Have you created a cool database? You can easily send an empty copy of it - a universal template - to anybody via email. Everybody who has Database for iPad/iPhone installed can import the template with a single click. Alternatively, you can invite users to your database so they can share not only the structure of the database but also its content.

Perfect! Why Couldn't Access Be This Intuitive?
Since this was a free application, my expectations were pretty low. Imagine my delight at being able to set up my first database - a fairly complex one at that - in under ten minutes. Unless you are a tech professional, this easy to use app should see you through all of your database needs. I only wish Microsoft's Access interface was nearly half this user friendly.
I can't believe it's possible to get software of this quality free!
I only have one wish: that a file could be password protected. That would make it practically perfect.
Has potential...very basic databases for now.
This has some potential to be a really useful app...but without the ability to import multiple tables into specific databases, this becomes an issue especially if using a desktop application to create the tables/framework of the database.
The app has a copy feature which only creates a duplicate database, and an import feature that only can import one table per database via Google Docs. It would be nice if the user could copy tables and/or import CSV files to specific databases.
Also, the date & time field is off by 4 hours for me. Probably having to do with a time zone issue.
Sync function needs work
Love the price, love how simplest is to set up and use. Easy to copy the database to my iPod (tricky to find the right iPod app though).
Wish there was a way to input data into a database from my computer (for initial, lots of typing, setup) but looks to only work for csv lists not interconnected entries.
Worst case: app locked up when I tried to "sync" it to my iPod from my iPad. Now program won't run, even after rebooting. Hate to delete and reinstall since I just finished a pie of input (thus why I was trying to backup via sync-ing)
