Fantastic Product
I’ve used Day One since about 2011. I would consider myself a power Day One user. It is a fantastic product. I personally have worked it into my business life, personal life, and religious life. I have a rare brain disorder and love the ability to create a seperate journal inside the app to log what is going on with my brain for the doctors. I love it’s simplicity and the ability to add pictures. It is a wonderful product and I could not more highly recommend it.
Recently Day One came out with the ability to print your Journals. I printed my 2016 journal and just received the product last week. It is great. If I could recommend anything to the company it would be to allow for the ability to import PDF’s into a post. Often I will go to a meeting and there will be some PDF’s that we are reviewing and it would be handier to be able to add them to my post than to cite a link. Hardly a deal killer, and maybe more functionality than it is worth, but that feature would be my only improvement. Thanks for a great product.
Fantastic App - Only 1 major issue so far
In a world where we are time feels like it is flying by faster and faster as new technology is introduced, Day One helps you take a step back and reflect on what you accomplish on a day to day basis. I highly recommned writing at least once every two days…even if it’s just a few lines. You uliamtely get back what you are willing to put into it.
My only issue right now is that on two or three occasions, I have been in the middle of writing long journal posts, and then the app crashes and I lose everything. I understand this was recently released so I get you are still working out the kinks. I am running a brand new Macbook Pro with Touch Bar….is there an update or something that I need to download? Some assistance would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
Does what it says on the tin!
As someone a little too focused on productivity and self-realization tools, I’ve tried a lot of ways of journaling, blogging, publishing, and keeping it to myself. Day One is nice and clean - it’s pretty full-featured, but also lets you turn off, or even better, ignore, features that you don’t want. And its APIs and data structures are letting me pull in data from a few of those “experiments”.
I bought Day One (Classic) and wasn’t sure about the upgrade for a while. The new interface is a little more intuitive, and some of the new features are nice. I like multiple images, and I like having the “a year ago” feature without the data being in someone else’s—FB’s—control.
