A simple journal

I was looking for a simple digital journal, and I found it. I tried a few apps, but nothing compared to this one. It’s simple, easy to use, and doesn’t have too many menu options to clutter the application. You can add pictures, show what you’re listening to, and add a location to your entry. The interface is elegant and simple, and there are inspiration quotes at the top to encourage your writing. I use this journal across multiple apple devices and what’s great is the syncing capability. If I’m about without my computer and I want to jot down some notes, I can open the app on my phone or iPad and simply type some thoughts down.

The bad thing about this app is that if you want to use this app with your mobile device(s) and your laptop, you’re going to have to pay for it twice. I thought that since I had purchased it once on my mobile devices that I’d be able to just download it for free from the app store like many other applications, but this is not the case. I can understand why the computer version would cost more, but I feel like there should be some sort of discount on the full price of the computer version if you already paid for the mobile version.

It locks so no one can access it accept you.

It locks so no one can access it but you which is why I needed this. Going through a lot these days, I really needed to clear my head somewhere without venting out on friends or family. This is so therapuetic for me and is exactly what I need. Forget blogging, private journaling is better. Thank you for creating such a discrete diary that is lockable.

It’s simple and easy to use- not very many buttons or options which makes it user friendly. I’ve heard great things about this app many months ago but didn’t want to spend $10 for it. Now that I’m at a point where I really need to write down my thoughts and plans for the future without people violating my privacy, this app is worth it.

Again, thank you for creating a therapuetic app for those that really need to clear their head.

The best Journal App out there!

I find it therapeutic to write in a journal. I am a single father with custody of a 3 year old son and I often write about his big life moments when they happen, as well as the stresses that happen daily. What’s really GREAT about this app is being able to pht pictures within your writings, but what impresses me the most is that Day One stays synced up between all of my devices. It’s on my MacBook, iMac, iPhone, and my 2 iPads.I always have everything I’ve ever written available to me whichever device I’ve have in front of me. It’s got excellent security to keep unwanted eyes off of it, and with the new finger print reader, it’s even more secure. It’s well worth the moneh if you’re a journal writer. I highly recommend it!
