The Development Dialogue is the annual conference of the Deshpande Foundation, now in its 11th year that brings together over 400 practitioners and social innovators from around India and the world to share their learnings and experiences over two days. The Development Dialogue will be held on 2nd and 3rd February, 2019 at Hubballi, Karnataka.
The 21st century faces significant challenges from increasing income disparities to accelerating environmental changes, from food insecurity to increased strains on natural resources. While non-profits and social innovators worldwide have made significant progress in addressing these issues, there is still more work that needs to be done to have a meaningful impact. The conference theme - Reimagining Impact challenges attendees to reimagine new models, organisations, and approaches that would address these issues facing our country.
With a strong focus on action-oriented takeaways for participants and all stakeholders, the Development Dialogue agenda brings thought-leaders and experienced practitioners in panels addressing the role of technology, fundraising, business models and organisational practices in achieving impact at scale.
