It's a good game and I enjoyed the first one too. The only possible thing I could complain about is the fact that the difficulty becomes steep quickly. I can't complain much though, I like the challenge. I just wish that every so often you could go back to the first area and there would be the ability to get more items or you'd have to reclaim the areas because the zombies would take em back. It'd be pretty cool ya know? Like you stop playing for a week and when you come back all of the areas you cleared have been reinforced. Maybe they're stronger? Who knows, and maybe a wondering boss that's hard to kill but gives good loot or several bosses ranging in difficulty.

Update: The game is still the same as I had posted before, though a small complaint I have is the flame thrower units. They will begin to attack when their enemy is just out of range. Say I have the Glenn and he’s attacking a zombie, the flame thrower unit will go up to just behind Glenn and either set him ablaze (not the zombie) or just continue to spit fire till he runs out and Glenn is dead an by the time he’s able to spit more fire, he’s mostly dead if not already dead.

Seriously guys, get this game

If you like tower defense, zombies, and games where you can upgrade/strategize/improve your gameplay. You should give it a shot. It’s a free game, I haven’t needed to spend any money to improve my character. Overall this is the kind of game where if they had a $1.00 donation to support the developers I would pay it with a smile. I never review games but this one has (and still is) leaving a impressively good impression on me. Give it a shot and at the very worse case scenario, if you don’t like it for any personal opinion then all you’ve wasted is a very small amount of your life. Only thing I cringe at is the energy levels to do missions. But again, that’s only because it’s so fun I wish I could play it as much as I want!

Great game!

Loved Dead Ahead and love Dead Ahead Warfare. The graphics are the same fantastic styling that you’re used to, and the gameplay is a nice mix of real-time and card-based play. I love the little touches like when a zombie is alive near the bus at the end, it gets splattered. Great job!

👆🏾 That was my initial review after playing the game for about 30 minutes. It *was* fun. Then I realized how unfun it is to watch a 30-second ad every two minutes. It’s like watching commercials. I’m 29 years old, I don’t have time for that.

I watched probably 30 ads in the first hour of playing this game, and was still struggling with the second level. This basically means that the game is impossible to progress without spending money or watching a TON of ads. Come on guys. As a developer I know this isn’t the product you wanted to make — one that is almost unplayable without watching commercials.

How to fix this:

Give players like me the option to pay for the game outright. I’d much rather give you $5 upfront than force you to waste time watching metrics to make sure you’re getting paid. Or a subscription model — how about $2 a month? I could hack that for a game I really enjoy rather than watch 4 videos to explore 8 tiles and discover 1 new mission.
