Open iTunes to buy and download apps.

Stand on the knife’s edge between risk and reward. The turn of a single card can win bags of treasure or lose it all in this simple and strategic game of chance and skill.

Every card you draw could be your last, but the right mix of wit and courage wins the booty.

“Creative card game that starts out simple and layers on the strategy”
Gamezebo – 9/10

“If you're after a polished and fun card game, this should be your first port of call.”

Customer Reviews

I just started getting into table top games and I really enjoy ios versions. I'm really excited for this game because it's backwards: ios first and now they're making a physical version! I think that could be a good pattern for future game designs because you have the potential to work out lots of kinks of the play design without wasting paper, card board, etc. All that aside I think this is a great app and a really good game. This almost feels like a game pirates could've played. The theme is fun and the card powers add lots of variety. I think the most exciting thing is going to be the variations of play others come up with when the physical version is out. In a lot of ways this game is like an improvement on a classic card deck. I could see this taking off in a much wider sphere than simply dead man's draw. There are ways to incorporate this card deck with many already existing standard card deck games. I can imagine a version of Texas hold 'em with these cards. Dead man's hold em! Awesome! Good job guys. Simplicity that breeds complexity is always harder than a complex game that ends up being very narrow in its playability (a lot of board games and euro games especially fall into that trap).

Fun with bad developer decisions

Very addicting. My main gripe is that the game leans a great deal on luck of which the AI seems to have a never-ending supply. Nearly every round I play I'll constantly strike out on terrible cards while the AI gets every combination of good cards possible and always seems to know what's coming. Also the AI plays each hand perfectly and never makes mistakes like a human would, meaning if you make a mistake you better hope you get very lucky.

Despite the card types adding "strategy" very often there's a "best way" to use the cards and you just repeat those same patterns over and over. Basically if I win at all instead of feeling like I outsmarted my opponent or even earned it I just feel like I got lucky with good cards and the game finally gave me a break and let me win.

Also as others have said, the expensive traits make matches unfair quickly and are overpriced. This also desperately needs turn-based online multiplayer. Playing with other people remotely would make this a must have. Kudos for the large range of game types that emerge later on.

Great so far!

I've played about 25 matches and so far this game is great. The app is beautifully designed with great artwork and an easy and intuitive interface. The games are short, which is nice when you are commuting or have a few minutes of downtime and need a filler. So far the matches have been fun and exciting, and even though I don't usually enjoy games with a high degree of luck, this has kept me engaged deciphering the strategy and card probabilities while the short game time makes games lost solely due to bad luck acceptable. There are in-app purchases but so far I haven't had to buy any to keep progressing in the game; the moment that happens this game will receive a low rating from me. Developers, please look at:
- the ability to randomly decide who goes first in a pass and play game rather than it always being the same player.
- adding a place somewhere in the app where people can just click when they want to leave a review.
