Enjoyable Zombie shooter.
This game has a decent amount of variety and the combat is very enjoyable. The single player is short but fun. I do wish some of the larger SP levels were utilized in the daily missions. Too many of the random missions take place on tiny levels which leads to boredom very quickly. I also wish it could have an open world area similar to those in Dead Island. I feel the damage zombies deal in the arena ramps up way too quickly for them to really be fun. Also some of the weapons take entirely too late NH to make. Once I level my gun maker to 10 all schematics should jump to 10 instantly. Instead I still have to wait two weeks sometimes to build some low level schematic up to 10 for a weapon that may not even be very good. Like most of these games the cash prices are entirely too high. I bought the money doubler but the lack of updates and limited levels keeps me from wanting to spend more.
Not bad at all...
As far as Z-games go, this one is actually fun to play - different scenarios, new locations, choice of conditions, etc. Of course, I've dumped about $50 into it, so it may be more fun for me than if I hadn't - micro transactions are the death of video games. And the constant pay-to-play (upgrade tech to unlock the ability to pay to upgrade various elements, and then pay and wait 4 days to get your new gun/bomb/health thingy....honestly, if I hadn't had the $50 in rebated store credit, I probably would have given up long ago. So, there you are, insistent "review us!" pop-up - delivered with all honesty. But hey, at least it's not so bad that they have to say "give us a five star review and we'll give you in-game $/gold!" - like so many others. So, in conclusion, I'd say it's better than most, and you can't blame them for the new normal model (pay to play) - don't hate the player, hate the game....wait, not exactly...ah, whatevs.
This game is fun, but the single player campaign is short. You cannot possibly max out any upgrades in the single mode without paying for it by either purchasing gold (which requires real $$ and is far too expensive for the amount of gold received, but I guess that's the point), or by replaying early campaign levels for months before continuing on in the story. This wasn't as bad in DT1, but they went overboard in the sequel. In DT1, at least you could get 5 gold bars each day, and steady saving could unlock descent weapons before finishing the story. In DT2, the max possible gold per day is 2 bars and the amount of gold needed to do anything worth while is hundreds of bars per item to unlock. This is annoying and was the largest downside of DT2. Other than that, and a short campaign, the game was fun.
