Death upon an Austrian Sonata reviewed by Lynxminx

This game was great! The story was easy to follow, the graphics were bright and beautiful, and there was a strategy guide. The HO scenes were interactive and not excessive, and there were lots of fun puzzles and mini-games. There was a journal and a task list. The inventory was labeled. There was no map, teleport or otherwise, but a map was not necessary in this game. However, there was a navigation button for those of you who are stupid! There was no bonus chapter, unless the epilogue was considered a bonus, and the game was quite short.
The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was so short, and I didn't like the hint system because it told you exactly what to do! I would rather be pointed to a spot and have to figure out what tool to use, and how to use it. Also, there were RATS, in several scenes! Why put rats in such a gorgeous game?
I have played all the Dana Knightstone games, and I am really looking forward to the next installment! Could you make it longer and use a less obvious hint system? Also, please could you omit the rats?
Anyway, BigFish, all in all I really loved this game. It was worth the sale price!

Another great installment!! Loved it!!

This latest chapter in the Knightsone series is great! The mini games are fun and interesting, the HOG's are good as well. Has an interactive guide that keeps your place (if you don't miss something, but don't worry if you do, it will catch up with at the next chapter. All in all very fun to play.

Update: Just finished the game and I can say for the first in a long time, I wish it was longer!!!! I'm not in the group that wishes there was more (usually) but this time I can honestly say I wish there was more! Great job BF and the epilogue had so many games in it - some were actually pretty tough to accomplish! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Welcome to a Cold Night!

A good Dana Knightstone sequel. I have played previous episodes, and enjoyed them. The HO scenes are clear, and object interactions seem evident. Love the Strategy Guide for those times when things seem muddled! In the Casual mode, hints are quite specific, such as Get the fuse in the outdoor intercom. I liked that! You are asked to help a friend solve the mystery left by a violin playing ghost. As usual, you are in a beautiful mansion with many secrets to be discovered. Outside, you also hunt for items in the snow. Since we are having snow again tomorrow, it seemed appropriate! The Diary is also helpful to point out items found and tasks remaining. Well worth the sale price! Keep them coming!
