DebtBook is a small app that helps you manage your debts and debtors, focusing on simplicity and ease of use instead of a flashy design and a bunch of little-to-useless features.
Simply press "+" button when you pay for someone, lend your friend some money or borrow money yourself. Enter the name of the person, choose whether you give or take money, enter amount – and that's it! Change currency if necessary, choosing from one of your favorites or any other world currency. Change the date or enter a comment if you want, for your later convenience. Enter multiple names to split the amount between multiple persons. Add "Me" or "I" there to include yourself in the split!
Swipe on the debts list row to remove a debt, or use actions like "Pay this Debt" and "Pay in Full" so that the whole history is saved. You can then share it via Email, iMessage or just copy it and paste wherever you like.
– Added support for 3D Touch on accounts inside the app to get a preview of their history.
– Added support for 3D Touch on the app icon to quickly add a debt.
– Added support for sharing a summary of all debts as text.
– Slightly clarified some interface elements by using different icons and titles.
– Fixed amount formatting on Edit Debt screen.
– Fixed several layout issues.

Perfect app for tracking loans
I use this to track loans I give out to people. There is one app I used before this for several years, but was never upgraded from the iOS days of the iPhone 4 and eventually taken from the App Store .
I have still used it but have continued to find an app that meets my needs. I have gone through several that were workable but didn't have all the options I needed.
Just got this a few minutes ago and transferred all my info over and so far love it. Hopefully it continues to be maintained so I don't have to find another app in the future .
Update: Love the new app icon!! Looks great, very sleek
Simple, intuitive, and exactly what I was looking for! Now I can throw out all these old papers with my friend's "running tabs" and IOUs, no more tracking receipts of money lent/paid using text messages. You can email out the lending and payment history right from the app.
Looking forward to future update with iCloud synch -- that would be a nice enhancement!
I would also like to be able to edit the person's name. Currently, if I want to change the name, I have to create a new person and move all the transactions over. Also it's a little annoying the app tells you every time you add a transaction if the person's name has 3 words, and also the close parenthesis character ")" does not display in the name.
Overall no major flaws. This is an excellent app and I look forward to using it more. Nice work devs!!
Hello, and thanks for the kind words. iCloud sync support is definitely something I was considering for a long time.
Renaming the "accounts" is already available: open the account by tapping on it in the accounts list, then tap the "Actions" button in the bottom left corner (it looks like a share icon) and select Rename.
The warning about having more than one space in person's name has been removed in version 2.0, so it won't bother you anymore. If you still see issues with parentheses in persons' names in version 2.0, I'd ask you to please contact me via email: email@example.com
You can ur income and your expenses manually and it gives u a balance! If it was possible to set up automatic income like salaries, and automatic expenses like rent would be more than a great app.... Overall i recomend it
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
