IAP are starting to ruin games.
So many companies in the mobile and desktop scene are signing on to the idea that mini-transactions are worth the sacrifice to taint your name as a good developer. I'll gladly pay a little extra into a good game if they just designate a small bit of development to update the app for the future (not forever! Everyone can grasp the idea of legacy games). In app purchases for a game that hasn't been updated in the slightest for months or even over a year is absolutely pathetic for a business model. Patch your product for the ever growing trend of device upgrades every 6 months to one year, or reap the consequences of ruining your reputation for future releases.
It's like the world of quality product in software has gone 'complete greed'. Support your product even in the slightest bit, until you decide to take down payment of IAP and just release the thing in its complete form for the advertised price of whatever you want. Look at Square-Enix. Selling games for $17 and updating them once a year like they have no idea that the mobile market is moving forward at a perfectly controlled, fire hose rate.
Fantastic tower defense game that has almost infinite replay value due to the Hero characters that you develop over time. So not only do you have to think tactically to get through a map but you need to think strategically as to how you should better develop your hero characters. Your hero character changes the dynamic of each map and the the way your hero character has been developed further changes that dynamic. I have been playing this virtually non-stop for a couple of months now and the game just keeps getting better. The more you play, the more features you unlock. I love the Diablo like items ( i.e The awesome weapon of beating ) and the the inventory system that allows you to share items between hero characters.
Still one of the best tower defense games
This will give you many hours of enjoyment. There is no need to do IAPs although they are not as expensive as most games and a small amount will greatly accelerate getting new heroes.
There are 3 basic types of "towers" - archer, Mage, infantry, and a few specialty towers - lizardmen, halflings and dwarves. The enemies are diverse and well thought out with strengths and weaknesses. Each map has unique challenges that one needs to figure out.
If you like repetitive grinding, this will allow you to level up in capability and difficulty pretty much infinitely. Or you can count yourself successful at beating all the maps at the recommended level.
