The Wine App I would have created if I could

Best aesthetics, intuitive, great way to keep track of wines you've tasted. If only this existed in 1995 to capture all of my favorites through the years. Low friction functionality... It's basically the Instagram of wine apps: take a pic, the label is automatically identified (usually), then write a pretentious review with a 6 to 10 point rating scale. They can also curate hard to find vintages with free shipping and a low minimum (e.g., I've been able to buy many rare "sold out" waiting list wines quite easily). Customer service seems very responsive as well. One time I bought SLWC Fay Hillside 2006 and they sent regular Fay 2006 instead. They were apologetic and refunded my money and also let me keep the bottle (worth ~$100)! The social aspect of the app doesn't really have momentum yet and there isn't much interaction, but right now I'm just using it as my personal wine journal for which it is virtually perfect. 🍷🍷🍷

I really enjoy it

For me the most important parts of the app and what make me enjoy it are:
There's a human team behind the app and they detect and put the names of all the wines I list.
The other users seem to be all pros or total wine lovers and that's really important for me because I'm not interested in the opinion of people who aren't educated in wine and haven't got a certain level of tasting and/or experience rating wines and critiquing wines. The one thing that kind of bothers me but I understand why they do it is that now they sell the wines. So I sort of feel like I'm contributing to the market research of an online store. I don't like that

Just what I wanted!

I've tried a couple different wine apps, and was hesitant to move from one to another and lose all my previous rating data, but I love Delectable! I recommend it whenever I get the chance. One improvement I would suggest is the ability to rate wines without the label. When I get a glass and don't have access to the label, I still want to be able to rate the wine so I remember to get it (or not!) again. But, on the whole, I love it. And the concierge service (I think it's just in beta testing?) is fabulous!
