The Deliciously Ella app has over 300 plant based recipes, which focus on
simple methods and everyday ingredients, to make eating well a little easier and hopefully a lot more delicious. From one-pot meals to batch cooking recipes, weeknight suppers, delicious breakfasts, big brunches, smoothies, juices, sweets, treats and snacks, we’ve got every moment of the day covered. Each recipe is vegan-friendly and gluten free, and they’re separated into simple categories, so that you can quickly find what you’re looking for.

Many of the recipes you’ll find have been created exclusively for the app, from our lentil Bolognese to our sweet potato, black bean and corn stew; speedy sun-dried tomato pasta; rosemary polenta chips; roasted cauliflower and tahini salad; our ultimate green smoothie; pistachio matcha energy balls and so much more. The remainder of the recipes are taken from our website, so each user will have all of those in an easy to use format too. We hope the recipes will inspire you to get cooking and make getting your five portions of fruit and veg a day more achievable.

The app is updated every three months with with around twenty new recipes, so I hope you’ll never be short of inspiration. In addition, we have a few in-app purchases in the format of seasonal recipe bundles for those looking for extra ideas.

Happy cooking!

Needs some added features

Though I like the recipes you can easily get them on the website and since there is no shopping list or anything to create within the app it's a bit useless. There is no U.K. Vs US version so be prepared to calculate Celsius to Fahrenheit and Grams
to ounces. The app states that there will be all the recipes from the site plus exclusive app ones. I have seen site based recipes that do not appear in the app. Two major flaws include you cannot search by ingredient. If I type in tomato all recipes that call for tomatoes should appear and this just doesn't have that capability. My major issue is you cannot creat a shopping list. You should be able to tap on an ingredient and it be added to a shopping list that would make this app very user friendly and convenient. Are the recipes easy to follow yes but this is a review on the app itself which I cannot say is worth the purchase.

It's okay. Don't purchase if not in UK.

It's an okay app, you can search and find all the recipes on her blog and pin it so I thought the app wasn't kind of worth it. Also, the favorites section doesn't work on my device so even if I favorite recipes they're not stored in the favorites tab, which is kind of pointless. I also recommend that if you're not using UK measurements like grams or Celsius, then don't purchase the app because most of the recipes, mostly the newer ones, are in UK measurements only, and not really convienent for US customers because you have to use look up what the conversions are, which can get kind of annoying. I would really like to see both measurements listed, and that would be much better to use.

To Make It Better

I love the app, it adds new recipes on top of the ones in her Deliciously Ella books.

How to make it better;

1) add option to change the recipe measurements and temps. Ex: C-F, F-C, Ounces to Grams and vice versa.

2) possible option if you love a dish that is meant for two people or three or even one person alone, a change in the amount of ingredients if you want to just make it for yourself or for three instead of two.

3) Every so often, a period of time to download the additional recipes for free.

4) Future idea; having videos to accompany the receipts for those who are visual learners or new to cooking.
