Seriously, this is the worst app on my iPad -- I don't know how the developers at the Denver Post look at this with anything but shame. I think it reflects the monopoly the Post has on news in Denver -- there is no reason for them to spend money to have a decent app -- even though it is the only way many of us consume their product anymore.
If I had a better option for staying on top of local news and sports I would definitely take it but every morning instead I suffer through a series of crashes, lock-ups and and non-responsiveness. I bet on average day I restart this app a good three or four times in one setting to try and get it to work.
Only download this thing if you have no other good option for reading the Post. And if you do download it budget a good 30 - 45 minutes to read 15 minutes of news.
Waste of time
This is a horrible app, but we're stuck with it b/c the Post is the only paper in town. And they know it.
It crashes multiple times per session, assuming it even opens in the first place.
You'll see the same article posted three or four times in the same section, and their "top stories" are anything but. Dear Abby is often posted in that section. Urgent stuff, there.
And now for some reason when it opens, they've added a message telling you to delete the iPad app and install the app for the iPhone, but when you do that the iPad app gets reinstalled.
Everything about this app is a waste of time.
Lousy app, lousy news
App locks up after 5-6 news stories. Have to restart a lot. To get full access to news you have to pay a monthly fee, and the DP news reporting is really awful. If you like bikinis and stories about half naked women though, each news story has plenty of these at the end of every article.
