To see a world in a bunker of sand
And a heaven in a wild cactus,
Hold infinity in the pocket of your shorts,
And eternity in Desert Golfing.

Simple but Addictive
The game has no pause screen, no options, and sometimes (at 100, 1000) has an option to share your progress or challenge somebody else. But it works. There is no music, and the sound effects are so simple you can play music in the background and not get annoyed by any sounds clashing with each other. Controls are minimal, but work well. (You pull back anywhere on the screen and it'll shoot the ball with that power and direction) There are some objects that pop up randomly throughout the game like a cactus, rock (didn't know it was movable I breezed right past it), and water hazards. This spices the gameplay up so it takes longer for it to get boring. The levels are never the same. I am currently on level 2018, and plan on going to 5000. It's addicting and the size of the game is so small (due to its minimalist design) that you'll never have to take it off so you can just pick up where you left off a month, or even a year from last time. For the people complaining on the lack of one stars, there's a reason for that! Get this game, it's only a dollar so if it's your not appealing it won't be that much of a loss. But if you love it like I do, it'll be worth $5 by the time you're done with it. (BTW I haven't had any color tint change that I noticed, so it must be a glitch)
A philosophical treatise on gaming
Commit to your shot. There's a record of all of them, but should you really care? Simple controls and some frustrating shots in an endless desert. You shouldn't care about getting to the top of a chart. It's meaningless. Cease seeking perfection. This game will show you that it's meaningless to do so. Apply it to other facets in your life. Take a shot. If you don't succeed, try again. Try and fail repeatedly until you succeed.
This game changed my life.
Rather than spending time outside in the sunshine I played this game instead. In that small, almost insignificant way, this game changed my life. I am deeply indebted, far more than a measly dollar, to this game's author for saving me from a mild sunburn I might have otherwise experienced.
Edit: (hole 1895) I now have a terrible sunburn because I played this game outside.
Edit: You know you've been playing this game too long when the desert turns green. I'm not kidding, it actually turns green eventually.
Edit: There is water. It tastes good.
Edit: Hole 2814. What. Is. Up. With. That. Seriously.
Edit: Hole 2867. I used to believe in God. I now believe in Desert Golf.
Edit: New preview video allows a rare and fleeting glimpse of eternity. It is well with my soul.
