Pretty good app!
overall a pretty good app. at first i wasn’t sure i would use it outside of my browser. But knowing the little things make a difference changed my mind a bit. For instance, you can use the touch bar to fast forward a video when it’s in the background or you can pause right away. Versus being on the browser you have to do everything by the mouse.
Although i wish more can be implemented with the use of the touch bar, maybe a like button or adding a video to a playlist. Something for quicker access and convenience. Or even maybe things like a skip button on the touch bar, or next video. If more was added to the touch bar i would use it all the time. Right now i’d probably only use it every now and then.
Also what’s definitely missing it the ability to have multiple tabs. People want to watch multple videos so they open multiple tabs for it so we don’t have to click on a video and then go back and find it to watch it.
Thanks a lot for your detailed feedback. You've suggested several great features, we've added them to our todo list. They will show up in future updates!
Frequent glitches, won’t stay on selected quality setting.
The app frequently changes my manually-selected quality setting to a much lower setting. There is no way to disable the auto video quality feature, and honestly, 360p videos are not even viewable on a 1680x1050 pixel screen. Using full screen does not prevent the app from switching quality settings either. The app changes quality setting when switching from Full Screen to Theater Mode, too.
The other issues is, after browsing videos for a few minutes, the “Add to Playlist” button stops working, even though I’m still able to "Like/Dislike" videos and view my own private playlists, meaning that I’m obviously still logged in and didn’t lose my internet connection or anything. The only fix is to quit and restart the application.
Really sorry for the issues, and thanks for the feedback. We could not reproduce the issue in our environment, so it would be great if you could contact us for a further discussion at http://rockysandstudio.com/contact.
This app performance is superior.
I use a Mini-Mac with a dedicated 80” TV for a monitor.
This allows me to use part of the screen watching Fox News video using less resources.
Especially like where you can quit the video & continue the sound - I mean seriously for a news feed video, the video is the least part of attention.
This way I can also read e-mail, set my Fantasy lineup & read sports news sites while listening to the news video simultaneously.
Thank you so much for your praise and detailed feedback! It feels great to us and thanks for sharing your experiences with others.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
