This App is in order to monitor Intel Mac's fans speed, CPU/GPU temperature, CPU Usage, Memory Usage and shows the result on the top of your desktop. It can show the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.
*Note: If you installed last version of Desktop Monitor on your Mac, please resize the message window after the update. It will bring you more message (CPU/Memory Usage) to you. Enjoy :)
*Note: The GPU temperature is not supported on some Macs. For example, The MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Macmini with Integrated Graphics card as Intel HD 3000, nVida 9400m etc. (For Intel HD 3000, it is integrated in the CPU, for nVidia 9400m, it is integrated in the North bridge.)
*Please note that, If you change your system's Font via third-party apps, the result MAY not be well-aligned.

What's New in Version 1.3
1, Automatically CPU Temperature Alert when CPU temperature exceeds threshold value.
2, Automatically / Manually wasted memory free up. Just one Click on Manual Free Button to free up wasted memory. Or you can set a threshold value for free-able memory. DesktopMonitor can automatically free up the wasted memory when it exceeds the threshold.
Pretty good, could use some additional options.
I like this app a lot, and the price was right, so I don't want to complain about it at all. If I had to make a suggestion, however, I would like just a few more customization options a a couple previous reviewers have mentioned. Adding/removing sensors would be sweet. Also, the ability to move the fields into a different order would be nice. Overall, however, the display is fairly customizable… it just takes some playing around. I'll come back and add a star if/when this app is updated with one or more of these suggestions.
Didn't like the All-or-Nothing approach to HW monitoring
While I tend to love the author's approach of putting information right on the desktop in a windowless fashion, I didn't like NOT being able to decide what to monitor. Within hours of buying this, I ended up purchasing one that costs more than twice as much, making this a true case of false economy, although I will bet the author continues to "enhance" this product, proving, at least, sometimes, more is less and vice versa!
Disappointed that this update doesn't include temperature read outs for the GPU. On my Mac Pro 2010, I'm also still not seeing a temperature read out for HDD 1, even though I have all 4 drive bays populated. Finally, I am seeing a temperature reading for all 4 memory DIMM slots, even though I only have the first 3 slots populated. I had previously contacted the developer to request these additions. Beyond that, it gives the majority of temperature and fan speed readings.
