This games, even though it says hidden objects, is a "find where in the scene the item belongs." I don't like it. I find it pretty boring. The map is faulty. I went to it because I knew I needed to place a flower, but couldn't remember where. The map never indicated that there was something to do there. I found that it did that many times. The items to place are often unidentifiable. I thought I had a needle and thread, turned out to be a bow and arrow. The hints actually tell you what to do, they don't hint at it. The puzzles are pretty boring, like match the items, yawn. The scenes are well drawn, but that doesn't make up for a bad game. All in all, I'm very disappointed in the games currently coming from Big Fish. I'm hungry for a GOOD game. This isn't it for me.
Tried it again. Still hated it. I often wonder how people can have such a high opinion of, what I consider to be, a poor game. It had "issues," too. If you use the pinch screen while trying to find a place to put an item, it will close if you're too close to the ragged edges. I tried to use the horn to wake the dogs, and I wouldn't work. Finally did. I guess it needed to be placed in an exact spot. Thought I needed to remove a fallen log and was looking for a saw. Nope. Continue on to a house. I guess the unicorn and I jumped the log. Anyway, I was so bored I didn't even finish the free sample game.
Awesome, long, and different!
I really liked this game! It has the perfect blend of adventure, story, and HOS. I LOVE that the HOS are not the usual kind. In this game you place items into the scene, using logic to determine where they go. I am not a lover of the straight up ho games, I think they get incredibly boring. This is the first game where I actually wished there were MORE HOS! I liked all the different creatures, too. And the game is quite long. I played on the master level, so no hints, but I did use the strategy guide a few times. And the bonus game is longer than many complete games I have played! The only thing I found annoying was that when you would try to bring up your inventory, sometimes you would miss and go back, bc the inventory tab is small. Also, inventory items weren't labeled, but I didn't find that to be a problem at all. Oh, and you need to take photos of every creature you encounter. Well, I guess you don't have to, bc you don't need them for game play, but it's nice to collect them. I didn't realize this until the end, so I will be playing this game again sometime ;)
Great fun and Beautiful Graphics
I just finished playing this game and I'm sure I'll play it again. It was terrific fun and the artwork is really a pleasure! Loved the last scene! The twist on hidden objects of placing objects into the scene instead of finding objects was a fun change, though like others, I was stumped by some of them because I couldn't figure out what they were. Labeling them or letting you zoom in on them would really help. The strategy guide helped me out when I was stuck.
Other than that tiny point, I had no complaints. It was great fun! I have really enjoyed the games from this company, Elephant Games, including Lord of Statues and the Nutcracker! Can't wait to play more! Thanks Big Fish, for bringing them to the iPad.
