DetectLocations is an app that shows your pictures on a map visualized. It's useful to give you a good sense of where you've been, and where you haven't been yet.
Additionally it allows you to show pictures that were taken on transport (e.g. car, plane), so it's easier to find them.
Also, you can show a route of all the places you've taken pictures in.
- Disable marker clustering on map, since it caused performance issues if you had more than 10,000 photos (Thanks Felix Krause)
- Fix layout problems on older devices (Thanks Hung Truong)
- Add support for non-standard units, like "miles" (Thanks Cameron Banga)

Clustering Adversely affects performance
This update for iOS 11 is both slower and hard to use. The new mkmarkerannotation view does not work as good as pin version because when tapped it shows no info and you have to zoom in to see the much smaller text. As for the performance, it slows down the scrolling.
Nice proof of concept and handy photo utility
It's bad that any photo library app can do this with no separate permissions, but it is great to be able to see what's collected and accessible.
Might be useful if you always enable location data
Well if it is using my Photo metadata to map out where I've been it should NOT need my current location data. Nice map display but not much else since I won't enable location data for the app I see nothing on the map.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
