Best dice app period!
So this is by far the prettiest and easiest dice roller for any d20 system. I was confused on the 20 side throwing 2 at once but I does so only in the d&d5e setting because it's throwing one for your advantage rolls as well. It will always be white so you know that is the roll for your disadvantage and advantage. Now that I know this I love this app even more. If for some reason you don't want that to happen just change the game rules from 5e to other and a single 20 is rolled instead.
Great app and the creator was very responsive to my question on the 2 20s. If you play any d20 game this app beats all other dice rollers I've tried and I'm pretty sure I tried them all before deciding on this one.
It looks leagues better than the others, doesn't glitch, change colors of the die individually if you want or full sets. I would like all the plain colors to be free but I understand they need to make money too so no biggy. They give you three colors to start with. You can have up to two sets out at once for free and can save custom dice combos for repeated throws. Love it!
I do love this app. Best I've heard of. Love the dice options for purchase. The issue I have is that it tells me that my password is wrong when I try to purchase a new set. It's the same password I signed in with to write this review so Imma hafta guess it's the app not me or my password. I'm truth that's the only reason I didn't give this app a 5* rate.
Ok so this is an update from the review I posted yesterday. Issue is resolved and I love the dice that I purchased. The creator of this app was quick to respond to my email and was VERY humble about it all. I am leaving the original review up so that all can see how quick this all happened. Less then 24 hrs. Also he contacted my several times to see if I was able to resolve anything that might have been in my device. Which is where the issue was. Again I love this app and WILL recommend it to anyone that is interested in an app for a dice roller. And buy at least one set of dice. At LEAST one.
Thank you I am VERY satisfied.
Potentially The Best
After reading a bunch of reviews on this app, I find myself fairly confused as to why the developers aren't addressing the biggest gripe with this app; a gripe, in my opinion, makes it pretty much unusable. Why, oh why, does this app force you to roll two D20s? I'm so confused... And there's no way to change the default to just one. Anyone who's played DnD knows you roll one D20 for attack, then any number of lower dice for damage. Sounds to me like they didn't do their research before launching this app.
My other gripe is that the for-purchase dice options are all too similar and dark. I tend to like the lighter, less contrasty dice. Marbled beige or opaque clear. Or even just solid colors? Reminds me of 90s Windows wallpaper.
The saving grace is that the ability to save dice combos is really pretty brilliant, but you can accomplish the same for less $$ using "D20 Calc", basically a scientific calculator for dice. A little bit of forethought could've made this a top contender in the dice arena as D20 Calc is devoid of actual die graphics. Ho hum.
