Great app once you've managed to catalogue it all
This app is great once your collection is catalogued. It does exactly what I want. It gives me a quick way to see if I own something. It's great for wishlist/"window shopping" to see what I'd like to get as well. Quickly being able to scan a barcode or do a quick search is amazing! I do have a couple of relatively small complaints that aren't specific to the app itself but are important to point out. This is based off the Discogs website's database which is utterly amazing but has a couple of flaws. It is solely dependent on entries made by it's users, there is no larger universal database to draw off of. There is always at least a few discs in every handful that aren't in the database, have incorrect or missing information like the barcode in the entry, or take some time and a magnifying glass to figure out exactly which version you actually have. If you have a larger collection of music it is going to take you forever and access to a computer and scanner to fully inventory your collection. It will be worth it once it's done but it's extremely tedious and time consuming at the beginning. I haven't been able to find a better app with a better database to draw off and it is something that can be worked with once you learn how the site works. I give the app itself a 5. My issues come from the site and the amount of time it takes to actually catalogue in order to fully use the app.
Collection management app for Vinyl lovers and music geeks!
A great app for music lovers and DJs! It's not quite as fully featured as the website, but has the Discogs collection tools you need on-the-go. Catalog your music collection: LPs, 45s, CDs, cassettes / tapes, and more.
The newest update includes several improvements to the Artist, Label, and Release views.
The barcode scanner makes it super easy to add new additions to my collection. Browsing can be kinda tough for some releases because there are numerous versions of the same record but nothing is perfect. Overall this is a fantastic tool for buying vinyl, cataloging your record collection, and knowing it's worth.
