Dish nowhere, without an internet connection.


I wish there was a way to fix the time zone on the dish app tv guide. It currently says it’s four pm. It is 7am. Also, the app is constantly not connecting to my receiver. I reset the receiver over and over, but I normally have to do that at least every other time I use it. Even when i can get it to connect, it also crashes and automatically closes all the time. I use this to download shows to watch during 12 hour shifts too and it’s always (more than once every 30 days sometimes more than once a day) prompting me to get on an internet connection to sign in. Would i go through the trouble of downloading, if I had easy access to an internet connection? No. I saw one other poor review for this same issue. It is not operator error. It’s the app. On top of all of that I always click save log on info on the sign in page and I always have to enter everything all over. For whatever reason it doesnt sync with my Ipad’s autofill. This is the only app I have this issue with. I use multiple devices, multiple network connections (all strong, so don't waste your time auto replying me to strengthen my network speed)and they all have the same issues. Very glitchy frustrating app. Also, every time I try to delete a saved primetime anytime show they won’t delete. If it worked more often than not, I’d really appreciate it.

OK, but limited value


I have been using this app for several years. Recently they removed the ability to play recordings on an Ipad when the Ipad is plugged into a larger monitor, ie TV. We used to down load weekly shows and a movie or two from the Hopper and take it on vacation. We would plug into a TV in our room and my wife and I could watch together. They were sneaky about removing the feature and didn't the notify customer base and when I was trying to figure out what was wrong even the Help Desk had to escalate the issue to technical support.
I was notified today that this was fixed, I tested it and indeed it is fixed. Posting here was the only way to get attention, my call to help desk were ineffective. I highly congratulate and thank the developers who monitor this site and respond appropriatly.

Not Anywhere any more...


The best part of this app was being able to transfer recordings to my ipad and watch them later without having to be on the internet (car trips, plane trips, no coverage areas, etc). Now I have to sign into my Dish account to access my stored recordings that I have transferred to my ipad. If I don’t have internet access I am unable to use the Dish app for anything until I sign into my Dish acount.

Hey Dish, please fix this major glitch asap!!!!!

Update....still happening. I have received emails from Dish asking me to tell them about the problem with a link to their general customer support page where there is nowhere for me to tell them about my problem. Only answers to general questions. I’d love to show them a screenshot of what’s going on but I can not include screenshot in this app store review.

Update...still happening. Unabe to watch transferred content on ipad without an internet connection. Offline mode does not work without an internet cconnection to sign in. It may have something to do with the authentication token value. Extend the duration a valid sign in is worth. Please fix this bug!!!

Update...still happening. Unable to watch transferred content on ipad without an internet connection. The Dish Anywhere app does have an offline mode. I’ve seen it work occassionaly. Maybe try to create a button in the settings menu so the user can manually select offline mode. Hey, there’s a great idea!!!
