Sure did help my Mac

I was faced with a dauting task of emptying my trash which had not been emptied since 2008. My system has a 500 GB hard drive and an attached 1 TB external drive; so, I did not even give it thought about emptying the trash. Today, there was a program that I had to clear out of the trash but needed to be permanently deleted. The trashcan does not offer individual file deletion. When I started to delete all the trash, it would have taken probably about a week, because of how slow it was deleting the thousands of files. I used another fantastic memory program and saw Disk Doctor displayed in the apple store. In the description, it sound like the trash could be emptied much quicker; I decided to give it a try and voila, it worked in about 15 minutes to delete years worth of files that the Mac stock trash app was taking forever to do. It is worth getting. I would like to be able to have a choice of selecting files to be deleted if I do not want to delete all of them until I’m ready? Also, I really like how the stats show how much files can be deleted and how much free space will be gained. At any rate, I really like this program!!!

Quick & Easy Hard Drive Cleaner

I was not aware that my hard drive was filling up with junk. I started getting messages that my hard drive was close to being full and it was effecting what I was doing. I restored my computer to a couple of weeks earlier with technical help from Apple. I downloaded the latest version of disk cleaner and installed it on my computer. I launched the App and followed the screen guidance to identify the files that need to be deleted. I switched the Large Files button on and quickly saw the cause of my problem. All I had to do is identify the files to be deleted by enering a check in the box next to the file name. I found that a large list can be identified by highlightinh the first and last item on the list to be deleted and the entering one check block; the system automatically selects all files highlighted. I then followed the on screen guidance to clean my drive and my problem was quickly solved. The App allows me to select other drives if I want to delete files in another drive other than the MAC HD. The product woks as advertised and recommended.

The Doctor Is In!!!

Disk Doctor is a good name for this app because it’s as if one clicks a icon to ask to see the doctor, and suddenly it appears to tell you exactly what the problem is and what it needs to do to remedy it. It is essentially just an app that cleans up space and deletes unnesscary files, which we could all do ourselves if we went to the right folders and did it manually — but who has time for that? Disk Doctor just knows where to look after you tell it the name of your home folder on the root drive, and it gives you the option of saving data that you don’t want deleted. It also suggests that you back-up using time machine before you use it, which isn’t a bad idea if you are doing a deep scan. I took my chances this last time and didn’t backup because I had done so fairly recently. No problem! While the program does request a “Like” on FaceBook or a favorable Tweet on Twitter, I didn’t find it all that difficult to "just say no.” And I actually appreciate an app that makes it easy for me to rate it and write a review. Disk Doctor was quite worthy of the few moments of my time that it took for me to give it five stars and to type this review.

It makes me happy to have a cleaner, and thus a more efficient machine, and therefore I have no problems giving it a 5-star rating for:
1) Ease of use, 2) Efficiency, 3) Doing what it claims it will do, 4) Cost.

Get it, and use it routinely to keep your Mac running more smoothly. You won’t likely regret it.
