Pay to Win For Little Content
I just wanna say that I’ve been playing this game since I was 12 (so about 2 years ) and I will admit that this game is good, and that games do need to make money (for instance I love hearthstone as the game is reasonable pay to win) but this game is just RIDICULOUS, you have to pay 10 dollars for an exclusive character like Jack Sparrow, now that is just TOO much, this game has a lot of potential even though you have to grind for endless hours just too get one piece of land, welcome a character that takes months to get all the tokens for, then send them on 2 quests and WHOOPS you have to upgrade them again, and don’t get excited about getting chests you wait 6 hours for, they just give you crappy tokens you don’t need, plus the premium chests cost 10 bucks just to have a 2% chance of getting the thing you want. There is one huge solution to this game I’ve thought of (besides an actual meaningful story) release Marvel and Star Wars characters that can be obtainable for EVERYONE, this would be great as it would provide a good infusion of variance and well-loved characters into the game (an avengers 4 and Star Wars 9 event would be great) these could be great ways to improve the game, and gameloft I hope your listening (you probably aren’t because your such a big company) but I hope you are because this could save this potentially amazing game.
Pay to win
I haven’t been playing this game very long (a few weeks maybe?) but I can already tell that it won’t sustain my interest for long. As a die-hard Disney fan, I do love the concept of getting to build my own theme park with all my favorite characters but in classic Disney style it’s all about money. For starters, it seems there’s some characters you can only get from chests that cost real money, and you’re not even guaranteed to get one if you buy the chests! Second, the costs to do anything (unlock land, build a building, etc) are astronomical, and (so far) the currency you earn doesn’t scale appropriately. You get very little from these quests that take 12 hours! Then, it’s nearly impossible to progress because there’s just a series of doors in your face. It’s like, you have to unlock a character to progress, so you do the same 6 hour quest a ton of times until you get the items. Then you do one quest with that character, and for the next one, you have to build a building. But you have to level up the character to build the building, and the whole process starts over. I don’t mind in-app purchases, can’t complain about that, especially when an app is free. But, it should be set up so that people who don’t spend real money can still progress at a reasonable rate, and can have access to characters without them hiding behind a pay-to-unlock wall. This app needs to make some major changes lol.
I really love this game, it’s a pretty creative idea to allow people to make their own Disney World, but it definitely has some flaws. the first one is that if you wanted to unlock a character that is bought via gems, it would probably take a good year and a half to save up and buy them, but if you want to buy them with real money, they give you only one character and 120 gems minimum for like $10 which is a bit much, I suggest they either make it somewhat easier to earn gems or lower the prices of some characters. Second is that the blue potion stuff is hard to save up cause right now all my attractions collect only 6,000 of the blue stuff, they should just definitely make attractions produce a lot more of the blue stuff, also land is way too expensive too. Third, the fact that some Disney characters in certainfranchises are only unlockable via a chest that cost 40 gems or around $5 is pretty ridiculous especially since you have a chance of not even getting a character. Other than those three things I really like this game, I just hope, despite Disney is a huge company and probably wont see our complaints, that they will take these changes into consideration because no one will want to pay for in-app purchases and inevitably they will want to delete the game and never recommend it to others.
